Doan
Bandual by Doan
"WTF, some witchcraft?? I can't figure it out. Amazing!!" - Mario Tarasini
My name is Doan and here is a new effect with rubber bands. Imagine you just have one rubber band which you instantly turn into two rubber bands. A flash duplication of a rubber band. Everything is done in front of your spectator's eyes. Or, you can also do a very cool and visual rubber band color change effect.
  • No gimmick used
  • Do with any size (within reason) rubber band
  • Watch your angles. This looks great from certain directions, but you are exposed from others. Certainly not a trick to be done surrounded.

  • Roll Down
  • Double Cut

Mark Leveridge
Beating the Odds by Mark Leveridge

A deck of cards becomes a stable of 52 horses. The horses are shuffled by a spectator and the deck is placed down. The performer then writes down the name of one of the horses on a pad and places it sight unseen in view on the table. This is a prediction of a horse that he believes will win an imaginary race in a few moments time.

Spreading the deck, a spectator is invited to touch one at a time completely at random seven horses. These are removed and held in a pile. He then selects any number from one to seven. Using the chosen number, horses are eliminated in the pile one by one until...

Allan Ackerman
Benzais Oil & Water by Allan Ackerman

The performer hands 6 cards to a spectator who arranges the cards in red-black alternating order. The performer openly counts those six cards to the table. Once the cards are ribbon spread on the table the colors have, like oil and water, separated.

This is a very clean sequence that can be added to most oil & water routines or performed stand-alone. The oil & water effect is an Ed Marlo creation. This version uses the Benzais cop to achieve the effect.

Joseph B.
Best of the Best by Joseph B.

Best of the Best is an effect that makes most of the potential of the pre-ordered deck. But don't worry because to perform it you will not need memory work and no complicated mathematical operations. Everything is super impossible but really simple to do. Three divinations plus a prediction, a surprising climax. The method behind this effect is truly amazing and fascinating.

  • A normal deck
  • No memory work
  • No complicated mathematical operations
  • No gimmick

Tom Phoenix
Best Trick Of The Year, So Far by Tom Phoenix

We all see those emails telling us about "the best trick of 2016".... even though we've received 10 of those emails this year. And it's only July.

Anyway, this effect amazes audiences, and fries the brains of spectators who try to figure it out.

You will learn:

  • My "Habanero Change", one of the most open and fair color changes out there
  • How to do this with a borrowed deck
  • How to do this with signed cards
Is it really the best trick so far? Well, probably not, but it's pretty good. And it's nothing compared to what's coming.

Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph
Bionic Coin by Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph

This is an exceedingly clever and versatile way to gimmick a coin to create a stunning and visual effect. It works with many coins including US quarters, half dollars and dollars, some Euro coins, as well as many other coins from various countries.

Effect: You ask a spectator for a coin. The spectator or performer marks or draws something on the coin. You show your hands empty and you show the coin clearly from both sides. At this point there is no secret second coin involved. You simply move your finger across the face of the coin and the drawing instantly changes, either vanishes or transforms...

Alan Rorrison
Black Mark by Alan Rorrison

A black mark drawn on the back of an incorrect card transforms it into the correct card which was selected earlier by the spectator.

For example, the spectator selects the 3 of Hearts. The magician finds a card but it is the 3 of Diamonds. He draws a black mark on the back of the card. The mark penetrates the card and shows up on the front with the correct suit: Hearts.
