Jack Yates was a very clever and innovative magician who has somehow stayed below the radar and is completely unknown - undeservedly so - to many particularly in the US. Jack's Pack is a clever stacking method for finding any card in a deck by way of using numbers, names, words, etc.

Many years ago, Ted Collins devised the Panama Rope Trick. With this trick he won the cup for the best rope trick of the I.B.M. Convention at Fort Worth. A length of rope, that can be borrowed, is cut not one but three times and the four pieces tied together. Rope is now handed to a spectator and is completely restored. The routine is fully explained with a novel presentation by Ken de Courcy.

Now for two wonderful little-known variations. 'The Legs Of Man' by Vivian St. John. The idea is that a piece of rope is shown and tied so that it forms two circles. It is then cut in two places, then pulled through...

This was one of Al Koran's popular routines, and a hit on T.V. and during his cabaret and stage performances. It is baffling yet easy to do and, more important, it employs apparatus with immediate appeal to everyone ... money! Astro Alliteration is a mystical astrological chart that enables the user to perform Doug Dyment's, "Sign Language", Fraser Parker's, Seeing Signs and Ken de Courcy's The Systematic Seer, without involving any of the memory work that each method entails.

Prop-less is good in mentalism, however, when not performing the above effects regularly, a hint of forgetfulness creeps in.
