This is a simple coins across that can be done with any type of coins. Ideally you want to do this with at least six or more coins. All you need to be able to do is a thumb palm.

This is a wonderful version of the classic matrix effect - four coins and four cards. Each coin starts under one card in 4 different places. Eventually all coins assemble magically one by one under one card. The description includes a beautiful display move which allows you to show a card in one hand while you hide a coin in the same.

You can almost smell the popcorn and hear the screams from the roller coaster as the magician unfolds the game board to demonstrate this seldom seen scam entitled Capture The Coin. With two coins placed on a checkerboard-like mat, the mark attempts to beat the game operator by moving in turn their coins one square at a time. If the mark successfully eludes the operator's coin from catching (moving into the same intersection of the lines as his), the mark wins. The Effect
You present three Chinese coins to your audience which will do their ordinary work as always. Two of the Chinese coins travel from your hand to the ring a spectator is holding in her outstretched palm. The third coin is given shortly to the ones already traveled and you pick up her ring which you put fairly into your own pocket. You are then given the last coin which you throw in your hand. Again the coin will travel... The Spectator is asked to open the hand and to her amazement she finds three coins. But wait - what is in your hand? The spectator's ring!

A really strong piece of mentalism that is impromptu and can be performed literally in every single performing situation is not too easy to find. This, however, fits the bill beautifully.

Effect: The mentalist places a business card onto the table. The audience is told that there is a prediction underneath the business card, but that it will not be shown to them until later. The performer reaches into his pocket (or wherever) and brings out three invisible coins: a nickel, a quarter, and a dime. The spectator is told to imagine that she sees them. The performer lays the imaginary coins in...

This is David Devlin's pet coin box routine.

EFFECT: This routine employs four half dollars along with a copper English Penny, and a coin box. The coins are dumped out of the box onto the table. The coins may be examined by the spectators. The performer reaches into his pocket and brings out a copper English Penny, which may also be examined. The copper coin is placed aside for a moment while the performer places the silver coins in a vertical row on his right hand side. The copper coin is placed into the box, and the lid is placed on top. A silver coin is placed into the left hand. A snap...

Effect: A collection of coins of different denominations is displayed on the table. The right hand is kept well away from the coins, which are then gathered up one at a time by the left hand. The left and right hands are closed into fists. A magical gesture is made, and all of the coins vanish from the left hand and appear in the right hand…but wait…one of the coins failed to go across. The coin is picked up with the left hand, the hands are closed into fists, a magical gesture is made, and the final coin travels from the left hand to the right hand.

This “Instant Coins Across” routine...

A visual penetration of coin through can.

The performer finishes his / her can of drink and shakes every last drop out. A coin is then shown and placed in the palm of the other hand. The base of the can is impacted on the coin several times and then penetrates the base of the can. The spectators can hear the coin pass through the metal. The coin is inside the can and the spectator can take the coin out and keep both items if they wish.

This is a great little idea combining a common gimmick with a clever move to accomplish a coin penetrating a can - a visual and audible effect.

You place a ripped off empty jeans pocket on the table. Magically you take three coins one by one out of it. You magically make them disappear and appear inside/under the pocket. The climax is that all three coins disappear inside the pocket.

You will need two coins and a matching expanded shell. The video includes a detailed explanation of the "Palm to Palm", "Classic Palm to Fingerpalm Transfer" and "Toss Up Production" moves.

This is a beautiful flourish where one or more coins roll across the back of the fingers. Both Nate Leipzig and Allan Shaw claim to have invented this move. Al Goshman did a wonderful version where a coin rolls up and down his hand. Extreme variations go as far as rolling eight coins, four on each hand.

Borrow a coin from a spectator, have the coin signed, and then have the coin penetrate a filled water bottle. The coin that magically enters the water bottle is truly the borrowed and signed coin. There is no switch of the coin. There is no duplicate coin. The coin that is given to you is the one that ends up inside the water bottle.

The water bottle is gimmicked in a novel way. The video demonstrates how the bottle needs to be gimmicked. It is not that hard to do, but it will require some care and supplies you may not have around the house. Once the coin has entered the bottle, the bottle...
