A block transfer is to move one or several cards from one half of the deck to the other half, leaving everything else unchanged. The transfer can happen on the top or on the bottom. This is a riffle shuffle technique very useful for riffle stacking.

Blockbuster Book Test is a movie theme book test that can be performed close-up, table hopping, in a children's show or on stage. There are several live performances followed by a full explanation of the variation principles used. The mentalist places a rental video tape (or DVD) as prediction on the table. A spectator chooses a good movie from a movie guide that lists nearly 20,000 movies. It turns out that the prediction is spot on.

You show five cards that have a blue dot on their faces. When you rotate the pack one dot changes to a red dot. You table the red dotted card. Another magical gesture and another red dot appears. You continue until four cards have changed to red dots. The final card with a blue dot changes to just a blue dot, no fifth card is visible anymore.
