This is an exceedingly clever and versatile way to gimmick a coin to create a stunning and visual effect. It works with many coins including US quarters, half dollars and dollars, some Euro coins, as well as many other coins from various countries.

Effect: You ask a spectator for a coin. The spectator or performer marks or draws something on the coin. You show your hands empty and you show the coin clearly from both sides. At this point there is no secret second coin involved. You simply move your finger across the face of the coin and the drawing instantly changes, either vanishes or transforms...

Another killer close-up packet card trick from the creative mind of Wolfgang Riebe. 3 blank cards are shown and a spectator is asked to write their name and a picture on one of the cards. Suddenly the freely drawn name/picture duplicates onto all 3 cards. Now the surprise ... suddenly all cards have HAPPY BIRTHDAY written on them!

You present three blank cards and a Joker. The Joker has a big hole located close to a corner. The hole magically moves to the center, then vanishes entirely, and then the four cards change into the four Jacks with no holes showing anywhere.

A black mark drawn on the back of an incorrect card transforms it into the correct card which was selected earlier by the spectator.

For example, the spectator selects the 3 of Hearts. The magician finds a card but it is the 3 of Diamonds. He draws a black mark on the back of the card. The mark penetrates the card and shows up on the front with the correct suit: Hearts.

The performer fans a deck of cards which are all blank. Spectator merely thinks of a card. Performer removes the thought of card, which is naturally again a blank card. Magically the blank card turns into the thought of card and as a climax the whole blank deck turns into a regular deck.

A deck is borrowed from one spectator and shuffled by another spectator. Darwin finds the four aces while his eyes are covered by the hands of a third spectator. He even discerns the suit of one of the aces by touch alone.

To pull this effect off you will need a bit of pre-show work.

A block transfer is to move one or several cards from one half of the deck to the other half, leaving everything else unchanged. The transfer can happen on the top or on the bottom. This is a riffle shuffle technique very useful for riffle stacking.

Blockbuster Book Test is a movie theme book test that can be performed close-up, table hopping, in a children's show or on stage. There are several live performances followed by a full explanation of the variation principles used. There are three stages to my routine including a quick flashback revelation, a first letter type reveal, and a prediction ending.

The book can be purchased from most book shops including Amazon and can be fully examined. Furthermore, the movie title is in an extremely large font making it easy to read without glasses and from a distance. The movie revelation allows...

The mentalist places a rental video tape (or DVD) as prediction on the table. A spectator chooses a good movie from a movie guide that lists nearly 20,000 movies. It turns out that the prediction is spot on.

You show five cards that have a blue dot on their faces. When you rotate the pack one dot changes to a red dot. You table the red dotted card. Another magical gesture and another red dot appears. You continue until four cards have changed to red dots. The final card with a blue dot changes to just a blue dot, no fifth card is visible anymore.
