It was edited and produced by Marvin Leventhal and Dan Harlan. Unlike other magazines it consisted essentially only of effects, one after the other, and one better than the other. The top brass of magic contributed to its contents. All tricks were beautifully illustrated by Dan Harlan.
[Note: This is the same as The MINOTAUR Volumes 1-8 except the DVDs which complete the MINOTAUR are not included here. You only get all the issues that were released in printed form.]
THE MINOTAUR ended with volume 8 and no fourth issue. After several years Marv Leventhal and Dan Harlan have decided to release issue 4 of volume 8 as a two disc DVD set. This is what you are getting here in a download version. The first disc is new material strung together in a funny story line. Disc two features effects from the first seven volumes of THE MINOTAUR.
This is the final issue of THE MINOTAUR, the fourth issue of volume 8. It is one of the best magic DVDs I have seen and I am not alone in this opinion:
"The material is so much fun and so workable, not to mention the hysterical 'theme' of the DVD. I seriously think this is one of the best dvds of the year." - Cameron Francis
This DVD is not only filled with great effects, it also has a funny story line worth watching. The effects included are:
One effect from every volume of THE MINOTAUR performed and explained by Dan Harlan.
"Half Bull, Half Magic"
THE MINOTAUR offers great effects from an eclectic list of contributors including household names such as Michael Ammar, David Williamson, Troy Hooser, Phil Goldstein, Gene Anderson, Steve Cohen, Tom Craven, Aldo Colombini, Daryl, Didier Dupre, Eddie Fechter, Doc Eason, Dan Garrett, Chris Kenner, Gary Kurtz, Ken Krenzel, Eric Mead, David Neighbors, Johnny Ace Palmer, Gary Plants, Joe Rindfleisch, Rocco, Hiro Sakai, and many more. Of course, there are a lot of Dan Harlan effects, too. And each effect has been carefully illustrated by Dan Harlan himself.
Every volume of THE MINOTAUR is by itself on par with any high quality...
No 4 of volume 8 was never published. Many years later Dan Harlan released a DVD under the title The MINOTAUR Final Issue. This DVD set is not part of this ebook but it is included in the 8 volume Minotaur bundle as well as available separately.
This PDF not just includes the four issues of volume 1, but also the sneak preview issue.
You will get all the indexes that have been issued for THE MINOTAUR:
1st edition 1994 - 2011; 39 pages.
