Use any pocket diary. Completely self-working. No reset.

Effect: To begin, you hand a spectator your diary for examination - you point out that each day in the diary has the name of a playing card entered against it. This he can verify as he studies the diary, before putting it in his pocket. (Note: it doesn't need to be playing cards - you can fill the diary with anything you desire - people's names, phone numbers, words, symbols, etc.)

Next you bring out six blank business cards. You write something on one of the cards, without showing it to the audience. This card is left on the table...

This DVD is a live recorded lecture Al Mann gave in Vienna, Austria, at the 1. Wiener Zaubertheater, on November 25th 1984. To my knowledge, this is the only footage available today showing Al Mann in action. The quality is remarkably good for a live unscripted recording from a single camera from the 80s. It runs for a bit over 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Naval Drug Fraud
A would be journalist sends a wire to Washington begging for Chandu to come to meet her. However, by the time Chandu arrives the next day she has been murdered! Without even knowing why she summoned him, can Chandu the Magician determine why she was killed and who pulled the trigger?

Although this episode does contain a preview, it is the last episode of Chandu the Magician known to exist and seems to be the last episode produced....

This is a very commercial, practical, and effective diary effect. (Works with any diary.)

You begin by shuffling a deck and placing it on the table. You never touch the deck again. You now give the spectator your pocket diary which he may examine before placing it in his pocket. You never touch the diary again.

The spectator will now create a random date. He cuts the deck – this is a free cut – and turns over the card cut to. The value of this card will represent the month. This can truly be any value. He counts the cards that he cut – this will represent the day. This can truly...
