The four aces are openly removed and tossed onto the table. A card is chosen by the spectator and lost in the deck. The spectator chooses either the red or black aces to proceed. Let us assume he chose the red aces. The magician proclaims that as he waves the red aces over the deck, the chosen card will appear sandwiched between the aces. After a couple of attempts, nothing happens. Then the red aces turn into two jokers. When the deck is spread, the red aces are found reversed with the chosen card sandwiched between them. As a parting shot, the chosen card is found to be predicted on the back...

The spectator chooses one card and signs it. The magician tears off the corner of that card and places the card in the middle of a deck. The corner visually disappears and appears on top of the chosen card - right in the middle of the deck.

The ace assembly effect is a plot that has been done to death in the annals of card magic. The following is my version of an ace assembly effect with a twist at the end. The method is so simple that even a beginner can master and perform it.

Four aces are dealt face down next to each other. Three indifferent cards are added to each pile. The magician says that he will attempt to move all the aces from the different piles into one pile. After some mumbo jumbo, the aces have disappeared from three of the piles. When the fourth pile is turned over, to everyone's surprise, it contains ... the...

This is a marvelous ebook on mostly sleight-less card magic. The only skills you will need to bring to these effects are presentational. Pros will tell you the presentational aspect of a trick is more difficult to master than any sleight or move. That probably is true, however, these effects have been selected and re-worked so as to have built-in impact so that your presentation can even be as direct as simply stating exactly what you are doing. Robert Walker was a unicycling, high-school student. Looking five years younger than he was, he was a dyed-in-the-wool card guy tutored in Marlovian ways. He was also a precocious writer-creator, obsessed with false counts and packet tricks. Show a playing card which has random holes in it. This is best done by putting it in front of a light source, such as your phone's screen. In an instant the holes rearrange to something meaningful. It could be a simple image, the name of a card, a spectator name, a date, anything you can think of. It is a great way to reveal a prediction.

It's not a trick, it's a system ... Imagine that you have an option to change the color of a freely chosen and signed card. Mario Tarasini introduces his new portable flap system. You can place a special portable flap system on any card to immediately change its color and hand it over to the spectator.

In August of 1963, Dai Vernon took a twenty-hour bus trip from Los Angeles to Dallas, Texas, to deliver a lecture at the Statler Hilton Hotel.

On the way there, Vernon created an amazing effect, an effect that is relatively unknown, even today. Shortly thereafter, Vernon advertised the trick for sale.

A story trick is one of the best effects one can do for lay people. See for example, Bill Malone's success with "Sam the Bellhop". Kent Gunn has altered the recipe of the story trick by adding a couple of card tricks in the middle of the story, which adds a new twist to the genre. Kent feels that it is is the best-received piece he has ever come up with. He also provides advice on how to come up with your own story, which ultimately is the best way to go.

A beautiful color change made popular in the 70s by Walter Cummings. A fan of cards is waved in front of the rest of the pack, causing the face card to change in a dramatic fashion.

These are very similar requirements to the Fitch Cheney Five-Card Trick. But they are not identical. In the Fitch Cheney trick the performer selects the one card out of the five given to him which his assistant needs to identify...

Imagine the viewer selects a card (forced). You take the card box, remove a card and with one wave of your hand the card turns into a candy box. You open it and there is the viewer's card.

To construct the gimmick you will need elastic thread.

Jazz Aces was inauspiciously introduced to the magic world in 1971 when Peter Kane published Another Card Session. It was a fortuitous event because it appeared about the same time the Elmsley Count was gaining favor with magicians from coast to coast. Like weeds in an open field, packet tricks were also popping up everywhere. Furthermore, Kane's routine clarified the transposition aspects of basic Ace Assemblies. Using only 8 principal "players" (cards), his action procedure was simple and direct. Best of all, the final transposition was squeaky clean. As a result it did not take long for Jazz...

This is a fun card trick with multiple climaxes. It starts off as a 4-Ace production trick, then it goes wrong as 4 random cards are produced instead of the 4 Aces. Next, these random cards are shown to be predicted on the magician's Facebook page. Not to be outdone, the magician also produces the mates of the 4 random cards. At last, the magician produces the 4 Aces. Of course, the best part is that the deck is face-down almost the entire time and it is handled by the spectator.

There is nothing new when a card visually changes color. The market is flooded with hundreds of visual color changes variations base on a few dozen methods. This is a cheeky trick to perform when there is a request for "one more". The magician starts by telling a story. The spectator gets involved in the action and turns "matchmaker". This trick is free of any sleights. The spectator invariably cuts to the four queens in an impossible way.

The performer removes the four Kings openly and lays them face down next to each other. The deck is shuffled and a card is dealt face down in front of each King. The performer continues to deal cards into four piles. When the spectator stops him, the performer places the face up King on the pile stopped at...

Visual and practical effects are rarely combined into one trick. Hallucination is a very practical and visual trick. Imagine you draw 4 points on a playing card, after which you shake the deck and they line up, and that’s not all, you shake the deck again and the points completely disappear.

The Spectator chooses any card from the deck. The magician rips off the corner of that card. One hand wave, and the corner changes color. The magician throws the corner on to the card, the card is restored and the whole card changes color. And that’s not the end. The magician places the card on the deck and the entire deck changes color. Four effects in one trick. (Supplies may have to be purchased in order to perform this effect.)

There are different tricks which use a hole in a card. Mario Tarasini presents one of the smartest and simplest methods to perform this effect. Just punch one hole on the selected card and the hole will multiply. The best part is that after the trick the card can be given to the spectator.
