New Way Golf Ball in GlassJerry ClowinJerry Clowin has made a significant improvement to the method published in Golf Ball in Glass. It builds on that same basic method, but introduces an important refinement which allows you to overcome a bigger difference between golf ball diameter and jar opening. With this new method it is much less of a hit and miss, and the search for the proper jars has become a lot easier, too. Besides safety equipment (safety glasses and gloves) you will need in particular three tools to accomplish this task. One tool pretty much every normal household has. The second tool is found in most workshops, the last one you... | ★★★★★ $19.90 to wish listMP4 (video)

No Way SandwichJoseph B.Look carefully because this effect is a real fooler. I have shown it to many magicians and no one of them had a clue. This is the perfect end to your sandwich card routine. It looks like real magic. The two queens inexplicably approach each other inside the card case to capture the card signed by the spectator. It looks amazing! Really easy to do. You have all the materials at home to build the gimmick. I am really proud of this routine. I show you how you can end clean.

Not to CheatJoseph B.A demonstration of cheating. The spectator chooses four cards totally at random and puts them face down between two red Kings who are face up. Then the spectator puts this little packet on top of the deck. After the magician cuts and shuffles only one time, the cards between the red Kings now are the four aces! With only one shuffle, the magician manages to switch the four indifferent cards with 4 aces.

NumberedCameron FrancisA killer predicted card at any number effect. Effect: A deck of cards is introduced. The magician claims that there is a prediction in the deck which he will reveal in a moment. The spectator then names any number between 1 and 52. Say the number is 34. The magician deals down to that number and out-jogs the card. As the magician points out that any number could have been named, other cards are shown with totally normal backs. The selected card is then removed from the deck and turned over. Drawn on the back of the card is the number 34. Simple. Direct. Powerful. This is a knockout... | ★★★★★ $8 to wish listMP4 (video)
Numbers: ACAANRus Andrews
Numbers is a great twist on the ACAAN plot. Imagine placing a prediction, openly in front of your spectator, and handing them a deck of cards. You then ask the spectator to create a 2 digit number. OCD and Other EffectsMichael DanielsOCD and Other Effects is a collection of seven card routines for magicians and mentalists that explore some of the possibilities of a mathematical principle designated The StayCard Principle. [While the principle is not new, others have made use of it before, this is the first systematic treatment and explanation of it.] The effects included are: OCD The magician talks about how he was helped to conquer his OCD (Obsessive Cereal Disorder). He explains his childhood ritual for deciding which breakfast cereal to eat each morning. Cards made from fourteen breakfast cereal packets are mixed in a formalised dealing procedure. Despite the spectator deciding how the dealing should proceed, the cards correctly predict... | $14 to wish list

OddzoffKevin ParkerWho can predict where in the deck someone will shuffle their card, to the specifics, e.g. a certain number of cards down into the deck? Even creepier would be if it relates to something you uttered beforehand as if it made it happen. Imagine this. You mention a scenario where they are 2 or 3 off guessing the amount of candies in a jar. Then the spectator thinks of any card, shuffles the deck they're holding, then finds that card 2 or 3 off from your written prediction just like the candy scenario. The only other outcomes would be if it's just 1 off or dead-on, but you're covered there too... | $17 to wish listMP4 (video)
Of ParadiseTom PhoenixHere is a collection of Open Prediction methods, for the working mentalist or magician. Each method is clean, using no gimmicks. These methods employ unorthodox techniques, and will take some practice. Since only sleight-of-hand is required, you no longer need to carry extra gimmicks or special decks to perform this type of effect. A spectator makes a free selection, the selection is replaced, and is then shown to match your prediction. Four methods are included. Each one is 100% clean. You can use a borrowed, shuffled deck. There are no gimmicks, no R/S, no SF, and no sticky stuff. These... | $15 to wish listMP4 (video)
Oil and QueensJon RacherbaumerThe oil and water effect is a classic of card magic, some love it, some hate it. If one has ever seen Rene Lavand do it slow motion with one hand you probably love it. But there is only one Rene Lavand. Some say the effect of red and black cards separating is rather weak, until Roy Walton added a kicker in 1969 where half the cards change to Queens. Dave Bendix tweaked Walton’s handling. Bob Stencil and Terry LaGerold devised a narrative that logically excused the surprise appearance of the Queens. Jon Racherbaumer and Jeff Busby independently expanded the kicker to not only change half the cards but... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list
Oil and WaterMario TarasiniHere is an astonishing ending to one of the classics of card magic - "Oil & Water". There are many ways to perform it, but Mario Tarasini has created an extremely visual final phase with face-up cards and just before the very eyes of the spectator. After a couple of your favorite phases of Oil & Water, this is an amazing way to end the routine. Just tell the spectator to not blink and she/he will witness a miracle. Requires arts and crafts to prepare the gimmicked cards.
