Magic from Joel and JimJoel Howlett
International award-winning Australian magician Joel Howlett was a very close friend to the late Jim McKeague. Jim was not only a magician but also a magic historian and author of The Best 200 Tricks With A Svengali Deck.
Joel has taken the time to describe three of the routines ('Jack And His Dog', 'Ten Card Poker' and 'The Three Card Trick') that he and Jim worked on together. Joel has also attempted to include some of the advice and tips Jim lovingly shared with him. The result was this PDF book.
PLEASE NOTE - The ebook is aimed at the intermediate magician as some of the more basic card moves are not described in detail.

Routined Manipulation Part 1Lewis Ganson... cards; Gambler's Luck, a poker-dealing stunt; My Name-Your Name, a card-spelling trick; Thought Prescient, the prediction of a card; Koran's Solo Aces, a novel four-ace trick, with the explanation of a new false-count; and How Right You Are, a fine series of four effects based upon a combination of Svengali and rough-and-smooth principles.
Turning to Mr. Ganson's miscellaneous routines, we note among the shorter items Harold Beaumont's Dice Routine (2 pages); Matchic (2 pages, 3 illustrations); The Smoking Clay Pipes (3 pages, 5 illustrations); and The Egg on Fan, originated by Max Sterling... | ★★★★★ $7 to wish listPDF |
Aces in Deception or "How Right You Are"Lewis GansonAn easy and effective multiphase routine with a Svengali deck. A spectator is correct continually in finding a previously selected card which the performer underlines with the punch line "How Right You Are."
From the introduction:
Here is one of those card routines in which the happenings are inexplicable to the uninitiated. The handling of the cards is so natural and each move is performed so deliberately, that trickery appears out of the question, yet a series of effects take place which really are uncanny.
To begin with, I will confess that a Svengali pack is used throughout and... | $10 to wish listPDF |
