Juggling

Juggling is a great hobby, a wonderful performance art and unforgettable entertainment. It also has a long history dating back thousands of years. It has been shown to improve and increase your brain activity, or shall I say intelligence. You can juggle with pretty much any object you can hold in your hands: ball juggling, club juggling, ring juggling, as well as diabolo, devil sticks and cigar box manipulation. You can even go so far as to juggle chainsaws, knives and flaming torches.

Patrick Davison
Born on the Highwire: The Autobiography of Arthur Duchek by Patrick Davison

Arthur Duchek, born (almost literally on the highwire rigging of his parents' circus act) into a European circus dynasty in 1930, grew up to be a world-famous circus and variety artist and international entertainment agent.

He survived a devastating accident on the circus lot as a 4-year old child, an accident that left him with a speech impediment. His will power and determination, along with the help of an eccentric Parisian speech therapist, helped him overcome this obstacle. After joining his uncles with the circus in America, Arthur experienced unbelievable abuse at their hands.

22 minutes video - 19 page PDF ebook - 8 powerful effects

This is best described as 'contact juggling with cards' - incredible. You will learn cuts, tosses, slides, as well as some magical effects such as transformations and transpositions. Great music by Daniel himself. Very gritty, powerful material for the hard core card handler.

Many of the 'pure magicians' might not like this. It is essentially all flourishes. But it is wonderfully acrobatic. I love this kind of manipulation. It is one direction modern card magic is going to follow. If you want to learn something impressive, something...

Exhibition rope spinning is a hundred-year-old American sport with strong Mexican roots, born amid the sights, sounds, smells and excitement of the great American West. One of the best of the old-time champion rope spinners was Chester Byers. When he wrote this book, he had behind him twenty years' experience of spinning his rope into rolls, figure 8's and zigzags in stampedes, rodeos, roundups and frontier days all over the country. He has a good way with words too, and if you'll follow his directions, you'll soon find yourself managing the rope like an old hand.
