An effect by Paul Gordon performed by Aldo Colombini. You show some Jokers. The backs of the cards are red. One Joker with a big X on its back is placed among the cards and now all the cards have a big X on their backs. One card with a big O on its back is placed among the cards and now all the cards have big O’s on their backs. Finally, the cards are all back to normal. The big surprise comes when five cards are turned over and a letter appears on each card spelling the word MAGIC (or any other message, a Royal Flush, etc).

You will need five blank-faced cards.

Effect: A letter card, which appears to be a mistake, is placed on the table without explanation. The spectator sees 32 different lettered cards. The cards are shuffled. The spectator freely selects four cards and arranges them to form a word. The mistake card is turned over - it matches the spectator's word!

A "mistake" that turns into a miracle!

Imagine placing a single card on the table - a card that appears to be nothing more than a scribbled mistake. You then introduce a deck of 32 lettered cards. Your spectator sees that the cards are all different and is even allowed to shuffle...

Three packets of cards are introduced. Three spectators each select a card from the packets and these cards are seen to be the only cards with DIFFERENT COLORED BACKS!

This is a revised version of the classic Parade Of The Kings packet trick from the 1970s.

Four blue-backed cards are counted face down and the performer explains that these are the four Kings. Two spectators between them decide on one of the Kings. Immediately the magician spreads the cards to reveal the chosen King has now magically turned face up.

But there is a further surprise when the back of this King is shown to have also now changed to red.

Then there is a final kicker when the other three face-down Kings are turned face up to reveal they are in fact three blank-faced cards...

This routine uses double-blank business cards. There is a one-time preparation and a 3-second setup is required before each performance.
