This is a reprint of the rare and hard to find Secret Professional Pseudo-Hypnotic Methods first released by G. W. Magnuson in 1931. The original manuscript was poorly typed and full of typos and grammatical errors. Devin Knight has taken this work and reset the type to make it easier to read, corrected the typos and grammar and added photos. In addition, Devin has annotated the text with badly needed updated information regarding these methods.

This was considered by W. G Magnuson to be the perfect method for doing a question and answer act. No manila envelopes are used. The performer passes out slips of paper and pencils. He can do this or have an assistant pass the slips out.

Once the slips are passed out, each audience member writes a question on the paper and folds it up. The billets are collected by either the performer or an assistant to speed things up. The collected billets are brought forward and dumped on a table in full view. They are not switched; the actual billets are in full view. The mentalist picks up a closed billet...

This is a very good book on Cagliostro, because Trowbridge does not simply parrot the opinion of other authors who wrote about Cagliostro, but he did his own research and came to his own conclusions. One can certainly argue about some of Trowbridge's conclusions, but overall this is a very thorough and detailed description and analysis of Cagliostro's life.

One, Walt Lees has selected four absolute gems of card magic. He could have added fifteen other ok routines to make it look a lot more, but he has refused to pad his work with mediocre material. Good for him. There is already enough mediocre material published. It makes it a lot easier for the reader. You do not have to look for the gems. They are already right...

Everything I raved about for Four Professional Card Tricks from the Repertoire of Walt Lees is true for this one, too. Four great routines, explained in minute detail so that you do not only know what to do, but also how to do it, and biting self-deprecating humor that it is a joy to read. One other benefit this ebook has is that the photos are of much better quality.
