This is mostly an ebook on card magic but it also has a few effects with coins, dollar bills and cigarettes. By far the best routine in the ebook is the "Ten Card Poker Deal". It is a hugely entertaining, dynamic routine in which ten cards culled from the deck are dealt into two poker hands in a multitude of ways, but somehow, the magician's hand always ends up winning. The effect is virtually self-working and Harry's routining turns it into a real reputation maker.

Please note that this is deckless. And that does not mean propless. Two double blank business cards are used in this effect, with something written/printed on them of course, as you will get to know in this manuscript. This ACAAN is notoriously unknown as DAD ACAAN. And this is completely different than the earlier Deckless ACAAN.

Delusion Assembly
You remove any three "magic" cards from the deck - say, an Ace, Two and Three - and place them aside. You now cut to the four Kings, placing them on the table in a diamond formation as you find them. Next, you pick up the three "magic" cards and drop them on top of one of the Kings. Instantly, the Kings assemble in this pile and the three "magic" cards are found where the other three Kings were. There is no palming and no hidden/extra cards involved.

Slip Cuts play a vital role in "Cutting to the Aces," a presentation auspiciously introduced in Stars of Magic (1946). A "Horse Race" in which you always win under impossible conditions.

The aces represent horses and the performer and three spectators run an exciting race, moving their horses on the “course” as indicated by a fourth spectator dealing the cards. The performer always wins and the effect can be repeated as many times as desired, with the same result every time.

You explain that you have a sure-fire way to decide which person in a group enjoying a few drinks should be the designated driver. After a deck of cards is thoroughly shuffled, one person selects a card. Three different people look at this card and commit it to memory. When you ask them all to tell everyone which card they saw, you get three different answers--each person names a different card! The card is turned over and shown that it doesn't match any of the cards named. In fact, none of the named cards are even in the deck! ...

The spectator finds their card in an incredible way, with a stunning kicker revelation.

The jokers are given to a spectator to hold, then a card is selected. The chosen card is shuffled and lost in the deck. The cards are spread face down and the spectator freely inserts the jokers face up around any single card, isolating it from the rest. This mystery card is now turned over to reveal that, incredibly, it is their selected card. The effect could end right here, but in an unexpected finale, the jokers are turned over to reveal a jaw-dropping prediction.

Destiny 2.0 is an easier and more spectacular version of its predecessor. Now, people with no big experience in magic will be able to astonish their audience with an even more entertaining effect. The spectator chooses one card and signs it. The magician tears off the corner of that card and places the card in the middle of a deck. The corner visually disappears and appears on top of the chosen card - right in the middle of the deck.

Effect:

The magician displays a pack of cards and a prediction (one card between the two Jokers, all held by a rubber band). He deals the cards from the top of the pack until the spectator says "stop". He is asked to remember the suit of his first selection.

The deck is gathered and the value of the first card is used to find another card. He is asked to remember the value of his second selection.

So basically, a card has just been made up. The deck is gathered, turned face up and the value of the second selection is used to find a third card. Wouldn't it be great if it was the made-up...

A pack is thoroughly shuffled (it may even be a borrowed one) and a spectator merely thinks of a card as they are shown to him one by one. Immediately the card is thought of, the pack is cut again and again. The spectator is given the pack, in two halves, to confirm or otherwise, that his card is there. Whether he says it is or isn't in either half, the performer knows the card immediately and may disclose it as he thinks fit.

No questions asked. If you can cut the cards you can do this. Inside two minutes you know the card the spectator is thinking of and you can build up the effect into...
