An ACAAN-variation. The magician introduces two decks of cards: one has a blue back, the other red. The blue deck is shuffled and tabled. The red deck is numbered from 1 to 52 on the back of the cards. The spectator cuts to a random card in the shuffled red deck and selects another random card. The spectator turns any of the two red cards face up and the other one face down. By using the number on the back of the red-backed card, the spectator deals a pile from the blue-backed deck. The performer randomly places 16 numbered cards onto the table. The spectator randomly chooses 4 quarter-sized cards from a deck of quartered cards and places them randomly onto the number cards. The spectator and the magician summarize the 4 chosen numbers. The performer counts down the same number of cards as the sum from a shuffled normal-sized deck of cards to get a random card. The performer turns the four, chosen, quarter cards face up. Together they form a whole jumbo card. This is classic Juan Tamariz, a longer routine with four effects. It uses the Tamariz memorized deck. In the explanation part Juan gives you the exact sequence of his memorized deck. Important to know is that there are no difficult moves. Most of the heavy lifting is done by the stack itself and some false shuffles and false cuts.

If you like a real card baffler, look no further. This is a sort of 'One-Deck Do-As-I-Do' but it works on a very different principle.

Cards are shuffled and cut both by the spectator and the performer (really!). The spectator mentally chooses a card (free choice) and the performer does the same. Then the cards are shuffled again. Unbelievably, the magician and the spectator get cards of the same value and colour. It almost works itself.
