Sharps and Flats: A Complete Revelation of The Secrets of Cheating at Games of Chance and SkillJohn Nevil MaskelyneSharps and Flats is probably the most important early book on cheating devices and methods. Sharps being the cheaters and flats being the cheated, the mark. Maskelyne details among others, marked cards, holdouts (Kepplinger holdout), reflectors and manipulation. He describes not just cheating at the card table but also cheating with dice, cheating at Sporting houses, and at Roulette. The book is very thorough with many wonderful illustrations.

Die-Bolical ACAANBiagio Fasano
ACAAN is a genre of card magic and mentalism effect that has now become a classic since it was first proposed by the great David Berglas, who was the first to call it "Any card At Any Number".
This version of mine is very easy to perform but, if well presented, will be likely to arouse great amazement among both magicians and lay audiences, and can be performed as well in Close-Up as on Stage. It simply requires an ordinary deck of 52 cards and possibly a pair of very ordinary six-sided dice (but it can also be just imaginary dice for each of which the spectators will decide the score), and you will... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish listPDF |
Coffee BonesTC TahoeA mentalism routine with dice and coffee cups.
Three dice are rolled, and a number is freely and fairly created by the volunteer. No force of any kind. You then show a prediction that has been in full view the entire show, and that prediction is 100% correct.

Coffee Break Mental Magic #4: Fortune Tellers and WitchesPaul VoodiniThis is the fourth release in the Coffee Break Mental Magic series and features two very special routines plus for the first time, a short story on a magical theme!
Paul Voodini presents the Story Teller's Oracle. This is a dice based reading system that is totally original and works in a way that has perhaps not been explored before. The system is pleasingly easy to master meaning memory work is kept to a minimum (no need for hidden cribs or sheets of numbers!), all of which allows the performer to concentrate on presentation, atmosphere, and engaging the sitter.
Paul is also delighted... | ★★★★★ $2.85 to wish listPDF |
Streamlined Newspaper PredictionDevin Knight[Note: Although the information has been expanded in this release, the basic tearing system was explained in Devin's Random Thoughts trick that used dice. If you own that trick, then you already know the streamlined tear system.
The holy grail of all newspaper tear predictions. Even Al Koran would have been amazed, if he knew of this version. Are you one of the thousands of magicians who have tried to learn one of the newspaper tear predictions and threw up your hands in frustration trying to learn complex tearing systems and trying to memorize confusing sequences of tears? That is all about to end with Devin Knight's amazing streamlined tear, which you can learn to do in just a few minutes. You can do this without having to... | ★★★★★ $8 to wish listPDF |
The Ultimate Page ForceDevin KnightHow a page is forced during a book test is the most important part of the test. Unfortunately, most page forces are sadly lacking. Most appear contrived. Dice are rolled to determine page numbers, playing cards are used or math is used to determine a random number. This not what a real mind reader would do.
Other methods involve mis-calling numbers. If the audience realizes that the mentalist knows the page number, then the effect has dropped a few levels. Many people have read in books about secret cue lists and realize if the mentalist knows the page number, then he may have memorized the... | ★★★★★ $5 to wish listPDF |
ThaumatologyPaul A. Lelekis... that will fool any magician. This will become your favorite effect.
Marble Matrix - Paul came up with this Matrix routine when he was just a kid at his first paid show...it fooled a room full of neighborhood Moms. Paul also gives the Reverse Assembly.
Math Magic - Two math tricks (one with dice) are provided here as magic effects. Both of these effects will fool anyone and everyone. The second math trick will fool the magician performing it. You will not believe that this can even work - but it does...even a child can do this.

Magic no MysteryWiljalba FrikellConjuring tricks with cards balls, and dice; magic writing, performing animals, etc.
This is a surprisingly interesting book edited by W. H. Cremer. It includes an early precursor of the Chop Cup. (See The Magic Dutch Balls.) It has interesting information on gambling, cheating, and scams. The chapter on 'Magic Writing' is a wonderful history of cryptography and steganography. The chapter on animal training is one of the most detailed I have encountered. It also includes a wealth of magic tricks, science experiments, and effects based on apparatus.

Influence-EnzaMichael Breggar... mental miracles that are sleight-free so you can concentrate on pleasing your audiences... ok, get your mind out of the gutter, I mean letting them be a part of a fun, yet very strong magical experience.... Not only are the premises interesting and humorous, but they use a variety of objects, like dice, fortune cookies and Legos, that are certain to keep even the most jaded audiences fully engaged.
By taking the 'no sleight' route, most effects become process heavy. Michael has created premises and presentations that take what is normally an ordeal and makes the ride as good as the climax.... | $20 to wish listPDF |
