You could use this effect close up with two, three, or four spectators but I think I will prefer using just one.
After I explain TIME and SPACE to the spectator and finding out which they are I will proceed with the effect from that point.
After I pick up the playing card telepathically I will tell the spectator what the playing card means (Except for the Ace of Spades, the death card. I will make up my own personally meaning for it. You can also say that this is the spectators lucky playing card and give the spectator some cold reading statements and even add...
Paul Voodini presents a highly entertaining and interactive way of providing tarot card readings from the stage. This wonderful routine is ideal for both parlour and more intimate presentations as well as working fantastically with larger audiences of 100 and more. This routine combines the classic theatrics of old school mentalism with more modern requirements of being upbeat, interactive, and engaging. Whether you're performing in front of a dozen friends or in front of a full theater, this PDF will demonstrate to you exactly how to provide 30 minutes or more entertainment with nothing more...
This effect has nothing to do with hammers or smashing things. It does have to do with the aces, however. The title came about because David was listening to Cannibal Corpse while He was playing around with this routine, and the song that was on was, "Hammer Smashed Face". That is enough about the weird title.
Here is the effect (and what an effect!):
The four aces (or four selections) are signed and placed aside. A fifth unknown card is selected and placed face down between two jokers, which are then placed into the card box. The aces are then shown once again, and are then cleanly shuffled...

"I find 'Entropy Dropping' an amazing piece of work. Jan creates a world of new possibilities and I doubt anyone else could have tackled the topic as thoroughly. Every nuance is addressed. Many applications are covered. Accompanying his explanation are dozens of routines. Being a card man at heart, I was especially attracted to the four card magic chapters. Great inspiration all! I envy Jan's clarity and how painstakingly thorough he is in explaining the material and creating so many effects. I know how difficult that...
The basis for this multi-climax routine is Roy Walton’s Oil & Queens. In the mid 70’s Peter developed a variation on the original Walton effect whereby the cards turned blank at the end. However, Jon Racherbaumer beat him to the punch when he published the same variation. The following routine is based on the blank routine but has an additional kicker stage that was not in any previous version. Peter has also added Kings to match the Queens. Also, there is no Hamman Count in this version.
magic and magicians. Most of the performing that I have done has been for fun social events for friends and family and I frequently did little performances for my music students throughout my career as a public school music teacher. This is an excellent collection of no setup or very little setup card tricks to perform at any time, even with a borrowed deck of cards. The routines use subtle moves and principles rather than difficult sleight of hand to produce entertaining card effects that can be performed at a moment’s notice. All are impromptu and designed to pack the maximum amount of...
