The performer randomly places 16 numbered cards onto the table. The spectator randomly chooses 4 quarter-sized cards from a deck of quartered cards and places them randomly onto the number cards. The spectator and the magician summarize the 4 chosen numbers. The performer counts down the same number of cards as the sum from a shuffled normal-sized deck of cards to get a random card. The performer turns the four, chosen, quarter cards face up. Together they form a whole jumbo card. The spectator turns the randomly determined, normal-sized card face up, and it is the same as the jumbo card. ...

Kings Incognito is one of Martin's least demanding acts, in a technical sense. The sleights required are ones that will be found in the repertoir of the average close-up magician. Any sleights that you may not presently do can be learned within a reasonable time. The most demanding sleights occur, ironically, during the introductory sequence in which nothing happens. You show a packet of four black kings with blue backs and you place them face-down on the table. You further show four red queens. Waving the queens face-up over the face-down kings suddenly turns them all face-down as well. Another magical gesture and the four red queens are now four black kings. You place the packs together and suddenly the cards magically mix. Finally, you show all cards individually as totally normal except that the backs of the queens have now suddenly turned to red. No additional cards. No double-facers and no double-backers or other gimmicked cards.

An effect by Nick Trost. One of the most incredible routines with two (regular) decks of cards. A spectator selects four cards from a red-backed deck, without looking at their faces. These four cards are inserted into the middle of the blue-backed deck. Now you remove four blue cards, show them to be indifferent and insert them into the red deck. This is one of Andrew's favourite routines. He has been performing Kollectors Revisited for many years in his act and he regards this effect as his pet routine.

This effect plays big and best of all, it's impromptu and can be performed with a borrowed deck.

In addition, if you are going to perform card magic that has great impact to layman, this effect is for you. This effect involves three freely selected cards and they can be signed. You cause their signed selections to vanish into thin air and magically, the selections appear in a very magical manner.

Roy Walton's Classic Oil & Queens on Speed!

The basis for this multi-climax routine is Roy Walton’s Oil & Queens. In the mid 70’s Peter developed a variation on the original Walton effect whereby the cards turned blank at the end. However, Jon Racherbaumer beat him to the punch when he published the same variation. The following routine is based on the blank routine but has an additional kicker stage that was not in any previous version. Peter has also added Kings to match the Queens. Also, there is no Hamman Count in this version.

An impromptu card divination.

Divine the amount of cards randomly cut off the deck by you or spectator without using stacks or gimmicks; you may be off by one or two cards; no setup, totally impromptu. Spectator even shuffles the deck beforehand. Borrowed deck.

Kevin Parker's system allows for this type of feat and many others.
