If you can perform the easy block-transfer shuffle by Dai Vernon you will be able to perform Daryl Martinez's/Easton's commercial routine with only a little practice. The routine is structured to produce maximum impact with minimum effort and it creates a lasting impression on lay audiences.
EFFECT: Two selections are made from a shuffled deck, then are returned and lost. The deck is given a topsy-turvy shuffle so that face-up cards are mixed into face-down cards. This mixture is shown to be erratic and random. When the cards are eventually ribbon-spread, all the cards are face-down except two, which...

For those of you who own several of my products, you've probably realized by now that card locations are my area of expertise. And so we're back with another location that I think is a total fooler. The best part is that it can be performed with any regular deck. Very few magicians have been able to work this one out when I showed it to them - so I am confident that with this you will be fooling all your magician friends (even the knowledgeable ones).
The main takeaway of the ebook, however, is not the aforementioned effect but rather the shuffling principle that I will be teaching you....

A few tricks and variations of effects from House of Cards, Rosini's Magical Gems, and The Card Magic of Paul Le Paul.
Many of the techniques I teach in this video were used by both Le Paul and Rosini. One of the tricks I feature in this video is a trick referred to in Rosini's Magical Gems as Double Reverse. That immediately caught my eye because the very same trick appears in the John Scarne book Scarne on Card Tricks, a book I am very familiar with. So it is fascinating to me how all these threads of card magic can be followed.

A new take on the classic Bank Night.
Seven envelopes and a deck of cards are on the table. The magician asserts that one envelope contains a $100 bill. The game is for the spectator to find it. But the catch is that the magician will also be allowed to choose one envelope for himself. To make things fair, they will use card values to determine a random number. First, the cards are moved from top to bottom until each player stops at any card. They keep the card they stopped at. To avoid any suspicion of cheating, the spectator can exchange his card with the magician's. Then, the envelopes...

"This totally fooled me! It's VERY clever and VERY deceptive." - Marc Paul
"By far the best solution I've seen for this card plot. I have numerous unpublished solutions of my own but none are as deceptive as this one. When the Unnamed Magician first shared the basic idea with me, I was blown away." - Tommaso Guglielmi
"It really does live up to its title." - Alexander Javier
"An outstanding method. The creative thought process that is needed to come up with something like this is something I can't even begin to imagine." - Tony Bianco
"A mystery for the ages. I can't see anyone, layman or magician, working...

A practical course of instruction in the fundamentals of conjuring with cards.
Excerpt from the preface:
The aim of this book is to describe within the bounds of one volume the fundamental sleights and stratagems which are the tools of the modern card conjurer, and to illustrate the use of these tools by a representative selection of tricks with cards. No previous knowledge of the subject is presumed, and the book may be regarded as a primer of card magic.

In these wonderful lecture notes, you will find a lovely self-working card trick called Dueling Card Tricks, which uses a unique principle discovered by Alex Elmsley. It has a great presentational theme of how a mathematician, a psychic, and a magician go about their business. It finishes with an unexpected climax and thus has everything a good magic trick needs.
This lecture was prepared for the participants of the Midwest Magic Jubilee - St. Louis, Missouri - August 5-8, 1993.

Aldo Colombini's Contact Colors is a classic. Paul Gordon published two handlings (that Aldo loved) in 1998 in Cause And Effect. Paul recently improved the blockbuster We Have Lift-Off and entitled it, We Have Perfect Lift-Off. Here it is for the first time. It's super easy but so powerful. Two selections are magically produced and the four Aces suddenly appear. As an extra climax, the deck reverts to new-deck order. It's a blockbuster finale routine without sleights. Watch the unedited honest video and download today. Note that the opening shuffle is optional.
The false shuffles seen at the start...

One spectator selects a pair of cards of their choice, which the performer will magically locate within the deck. Afterward, a random card is chosen from the deck, which will then be found by the previously selected pair of cards.
This idea comes from the fusion of three routines by three different authors:

The performer invites a spectator to choose a card. The chosen card is lost in the deck and shuffled. The performer takes the Ace of Spades, saying he will use it as an arrow, throwing it at the deck. The Ace of Spades will get stuck at a random point in the deck, and to everyone's amazement, cutting at that exact point will reveal the spectator's chosen card.

A choice collection of close-up gems from the fertile mind of Nick Trost, plus a bonus effect. These effects are fun to perform and entertaining to watch. And, like most of Nick's material, they rely on subtlety rather than difficult sleight of hand. And, added to this revised edition, you also get a bonus trick with playing cards that you're sure to enjoy.
Contents:
CARD IN CASE - A chosen card pops up from the deck which is held in the spectator's hands.
NICK'S PERFECTED CARD PREDICTION - You predict the exact number of cards to be freely dealt.
LOST AND FOUND - A miracle in...

The magician takes a deck of cards and shuffles them repeatedly. Then, the magician takes a face-up card from another deck and hands it to a spectator, asking them to insert it anywhere in the deck, leaving it halfway out. This card will naturally end up between two cards, which are then extracted and shown as the magician says:
"These two cards indicate a number, let's imagine it's a 3 and a 9, so given there are 52 cards, the only number they can indicate is 39!"
Continuing, the deck is spread in a ribbon, and a second spectator is invited to take the same card as the first spectator...

From a deck of cards, a spectator selects a card that, without being seen, is placed under the card case. Immediately after, two other spectators choose two cards, with which they will form a random card, meaning one will represent the suit and the other the value. Magically, whatever the composed card is, it will mysteriously be the one under the card case.

A new semi-automatic card magic effect where a spectator, from a shuffled deck, randomly chooses a card from among twenty red or black cards, and the magician, after shuffling them, first discovers the suit and, after an ensuing "successive elimination ritual" will be left with only one card in his hands: unbelievably just the twin of the chosen card! Hence the "The Mysterious Twin's Call."
A virtually self-working card magic effect in which a spectator, from an openly shuffled deck on view, chooses whether to play with red or black cards. The illusionist draws all the cards of that color,...

A card magic act that won the hearts of millions.
In 2024 Mark Lewis appeared on the Canada's Got Talent television show and got a sensational result winning $25,000 and a place in the semifinal by winning the Golden Buzzer. You have to see his performance below.
Now you can learn the entire act from the man himself, Mark Lewis, with all the bits of business, additional ideas, and showmanship the man has to offer. You do not need to be a sleight-of-hand wizard to perform this act. Clever sequencing, psychology, and a winning persona are the keys to success, and of course this ebook, too. ...

When Ed Marlo expressed his wish that his material be kept available "For the Guys," it was not his intent that the cost be prohibitive. That was not Ed's way. Ed didn't publish his material for the small amount of money they produced. He never received payment for most of the material he contributed. In keeping with the spirit of Ed's pricing, Wesley has decided to offer special pricing for those who purchase the full set of Marlo In New Tops.

A classic in card magic. A chosen card is repeatedly placed in the middle of the deck and repeatedly returns to being the top card.
The ebook features many color photographs that make the readability even easier, to the point that the ebook can be understood even just through the images.

In the chaos of a shuffled deck, the magic is not in the randomness, but in the unseen order, waiting for the perfect reveal.
In these pages, I am sharing an effect using a method in card magic that many magicians these days do not use. This effect is capable of deceiving not only laypersons but also fellow magicians who are unfamiliar with the method used, and due to the nature of this routine, this effect will probably fool magicians who have a basic understanding of its application.

Almost as challenging as reading all the card and coin material Ed Marlo packed into the 22 years of M.I.N.T. (1963-1985), is locating specific pieces of material when you want to study or review them. You certainly aren't going to learn it all in one sitting. Moreover, both Ed and Wesley liberally reference the works of other authors and their published material. With the Annotated M.I.N.T. series now complete in 14 volumes, this 15th volume will make it far easier to locate any Ed Marlo or Wesley James material from the series, as well as other referenced Indexed contributors to magic's...
