Michael Breggar

Influence-Enza by Michael Breggar
"I am delighted by this book. Not only the methods, but many brand-new themes. Mentalists look for this, as they can tire themselves and the audience with seemingly repeated effects. Michael has dug deep and I look forward to using some of these on stage. BTW, for those who care, there are many new methods. Michael knows what he is writing about. Confident, sincere, original. I love it." - Marc Salem
Imagine you are a chicken. Oh, lucky you. You don't have to cluck like a chicken to get this collection of mentalism effects. Unique, twisted and methodologically easy, Michael Breggar veers...

Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph

1 Dollar Card Through Window by Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph

A playing card missing a corner melts through a window glass pane.

Once the card has melted through the glass the spectator can touch the glass. This method is very quick and cheap to make, about $1, and thus the name of the trick. Works with any glass pane that is not too thick.

[Note: The $1 cost statement assumes you have common supplies available when it comes to gaffing cards, such as double sided tape, invisible thread, etc. If you do not have these available then it will cost you more, because you will likely have to purchase more than you actually need for this one gimmick. Also keep in mind that most will incur shipping costs to stock up on these supplies.]

Bob Farmer

Bammo Brain Bamboozler by Bob FarmerAn astounding encephalonic effect. Combines telepathy, teleportation and ancient Egyptian witchcraft (well, okay, that last thing about the witchcraft, that's not true, but the other stuff is). Officially this is the first addendum to Bammo Gaffus Maximus. Uses your brain and the brains of others. Two spectators think of cards. The first spectator's card vanishes from the deck. The magician removes one face-down card from his pocket and places it on the table. For the first time, the spectator names his card - the magician turns over the card on the table - it is the first spectator's card.

But now for the...

Jesús Etcheverry

Reflections on the Double Card: Ascanio's Handling by Jesús EtcheverryThe Double Lift is one of the easiest and at the same time one of the hardest moves in conjuring with cards. It is the easiest, because everybody can get a break under the top two cards, and then take and show them as one. There is no difficulty whatsoever in doing this. However, it is also one of the hardest moves, because to do this simple action deceptively, so that nobody even suspects in the slightest you hold two cards, is hard.

This ebook explains in detail Arturo de Ascanio's approach to making the Double Lift deceptive. Jesús Etcheverry, a longtime student and close friend of Ascanio,...

Raphaël Czaja

Cut Cat Can by Raphaël Czaja

A self-working and examinable ACAAN effect with two decks.

EFFECT: The magician thoroughly shuffles a deck of cards. Then, the spectator cuts the deck to split it into two piles. Only now is he asked to create a random number in his mind. After a very quick and simple procedure, he writes his number down on a Post-it note - let's say, "13". He sticks it onto the card he cut to - let's say, the King of Diamonds. From a second deck - on the table from the start - he deals the cards one by one. Amazingly, the 13th card is the King of Diamonds!

Self-working. No gimmick. No extra card. Both...
