It was the first book to explain exactly how the leading magicians of the day in France performed their most prized effects. Sam Sharpe translated it to English and Wilf Huggins added a couple of clarifying illustrations.
This ebook is filled with intriguing effects with cards, coins and an entire section on the Cups and Balls. Surprisingly you will find here the idea of using metal balls, the same idea with which Paul Gertner created a sensation. Effect: A spectator names any card, and you immediately produce it from your pocket.
Or: You write two cards on two business cards, put one in each pocket, and the spectator has to guess at least one of them. (It can be repeated right away if you want).
The method is 100% surefire and practical. There is no math, no probabilities, a little bit of memorization, but it is almost "intuitive". It is not difficult but needs a bit of rehearsal at the beginning, like for everything. It looks casual, completely impromptu, or even improvised, but you will have to do a onetime preparation with... ★★★★★ $10 A Nite of Dumb PokerDale A. Hildebrandt ...

$20 TOCATONNick Conticello What is TOCATON?
TOCATON, the word, is an acronym for "thought-of card at thought-of number." It's pronounced "talk-a-ton." The word was coined by Nick Conticello to describe his new approach to the classic David Berglas effect "Any Card at Any Number." Nick feels the word is more descriptive of his effects because he does limit the choice of numbers and the choice of cards. But his approach has the virtues of speed of presentation and lack of preparation. Like most of his published work, TOCATON can be performed impromptu, with any reasonably complete pack of cards.
TOCATON, the e-book, contains four... ★★★★★ $4 BeginningsRyan Shaw A wonderful collection of original magic/mentalism effects and theory.

Reviewed by John Scialli This thing is ingenious. It looks as if it should be fragile until one realizes it is of one piece and there is nothing to fall apart. The blister it leaves is innocuous but quite visible/feelable. It is small enough
for the pocket so as to be used for impromptu miracles or those with a borrowed deck. However, a downside is that in order to hit the same spot, some external sizer will need to be made/jerry-rigged. These
exactly placed blisters are nice for, say, Bee Club Special, or Erdnase (Conjuring Arts) backs with criss-cross patterns. Raising one of the diagonals with a blister leaves a broken or non-straight... $15 Scalbert's Selected SecretsGeoffrey Scalbert ... - ...The Conjurer And The Stooge

★★★★★ $4 Pointless!Ian Baxter Here is a fall-over-easy card trick that has taken in well-informed magicians. Based on Ken de Courcy’s ‘You Do As I Do’ approach called [lp=922355You’ll Get The Point], Baxter rises to the occasion with a baffling presentation using a cleverly concealed, ancient principle. Totally impromptu, no gimmicks, set up or sleights.
Why the extraneous procedure of changing packets? To Ian, this seems totally unnecessary, although (obviously) the mechanics of the trick, as is, necessitate it. This effect is almost exactly the same as the de Courcy contribution, but the method is altogether different.

Impromptu and organic mentalism has fascinated several mentalists for years. Here is a variation to a classic effect of unique number divination in mentalism. ★★★★★ $14.95 ThreesumDavid Jonathan From a borrowed and shuffled deck a spectator finds his own selection by summing three randomly selected cards.
David Jonathan has completely restructured and reworked an old math principle to make it very deceptive. He removed most of the spectator card counting sequences and thus turned a counting and procedure-heavy trick into a stunningly effective and hard-hitting card routine.

Two outstanding effects. The first effect is totally impromptu and can be done with a borrowed shuffled deck. It is completely hands-off. This is an impossible location that will fool even fellow magicians. You will get phenomenal reactions from your spectators.
The second effect is called the spectator's revenge because he will find his own card. This is a really fun and surprising routine.
Everything is explained in detail. You may need to buy something extra in order to perform the second effect - Spectator's revenge.
1st edition 2021, video 19:24 ★★★★★ $8 Most Impossible DiviniationJoseph B.
As you can understand from the title this is an impossible divination. The method is becoming more and more diabolical.
The effect is a classic: the spectator chooses a card and the magician finds it. Here, however, the conditions are strict for the magician. There is seemingly no way the magician could find the card. The deck is shuffled while the performer looks away. Despite this, he will be able to find the chosen card face down. All this with a normal, borrowed, totally impromptu deck.

Paul Curry is a name that captures the attention of magicians everywhere, thanks to his famous card trick Out Of This World. Invented by Curry back in 1942, it remains an absolute staple for the self-working card enthusiast.
Not to be overlooked, however, was Curry's initial blast onto the magic scene five years earlier. Launched in 1937, Touch was (and still is) by any measure, a superlative card mystery. Over the years, variations from the experts have appeared in print. Some of these have been downright disappointing because they have been far too complicated, or like Curry's original, the burden... $40 MINT 1965 AnnotatedEdward Marlo & Wesley James ... articles plus 25 Wesley James contributions. Marlo's two articles on the "Incomplete Faro" (1/65 and 2/65) firmly established the powerful technique in the arsenal of card workers.
