Many will be familiar with his astounding Tenyo releases, but that is merely the tip of the iceberg of his creations. It is hard to overstate his achievements. Lubor's Gozinta Boxes is to this day something I look at and marvel at. It is so simple but at the same time so amazing, the true sign of a genius.
I was fortunate that I not only had Lubor's personal help in this endeavor, but many of his closest friends and confidantes contributed as well, such as Mark Setteducati, Werner Liebig,... ★★★★★ $6 Forty Years a Gambler on the MississippiGeorge H. Devol ... - ...

$7 Magically YoursVerrall Wass Practical effects with cards, flowers and silks. Here is Verrall Wass in his own words about the motivation of this book:
Modern magicians are not magi, yet some wizards wish to divide conjuring into innumerable religions and subdivide each religion into as many sects. The doing of tricks for them becomes a ritual. To one, he who does not use Professor Shuffle's (the "Professor" is still with us) double-trouble riffle is a heretic. To another, disciple of The Great Marmagic (the "Greats" are still with us too), he who does not employ Marmagic's boil-and-bubble pass, aptly named because the... ★★★★★ $4.50 What I Learned From Making Way Over 250,000 Fun Balloon CreationsTopper ... - ... works

Most of the reserved seats had already been sold; and the manager of the local Assembly Rooms was confident that there would be a big rush for the unreserved ones.
The hours went on until the one for opening the doors arrived. Was the performance to be abandoned? No! My friend rose to the occasion. For that one evening he dispensed with apparatus. With the aid of coins, handkerchiefs, watches, hats, cards, matches and other things of ordinary use he succeeded in entertaining his audience.... $20 Influence-EnzaMichael Breggar ...
By taking the 'no sleight' route, most effects become process heavy. Michael has created premises and presentations that take what is normally an ordeal and makes the ride as good as the climax. Dare to break out of the world of dreary mentalism. Have your participants take a psychic romp in a hospital nursery, create some sick and twisted fortune cookies, pretend its Oscar Night and have your audiences pick some winners, play poker with a Martian and even witness a fistfight between Martin Gardner and Dai Vernon!
NOW! Cluck like a chicken and take a peck at what's inside:
Influence-Enza - a Nick Trost effect takes a few hairpin turns with your audience driving under your influence. From a shuffled deck of cards, two spectators create three piles of face-down cards in front of little signs marked 1, 2 and 3. A third spectator removes a card sight unseen from the balance of the deck and seals it in an envelope safe from any sleighty hands. Free choice? Not quite. You have managed to influence the spectators so that the number of red and black cards in each of the three piles exactly match what's... $8 The Conjuror's RepositoryGiuseppe Pinetti & Philip Breslaw & Gustavus Katterfelto The Conjurer's Repository or the Whole Art and Mystery of Magic Displayed by the following celebrated characters; Pinetti, Katterfelto, Barrett, Breslaw, Silbley, Lane &c
This is a compilation of tricks lifted from other conjuring books. William Bradford writes in his review in Genii:
It contains general magic, mostly of the close-up variety, a lot of mathematical mental magic, a lot
of chemical effects, one trick called "How to show the Hen and Egg Bag, and out of an empty Bag to bring

Rapp disappeared across the fresh fields as completely as though he had followed his friend Carl Ackley into uncharted Africa. He remained lost for 50 years. His route did not appear in the columns of the Sphinx or the theatrical papers. Aside from a few friends, no one in the business ever heard of him. Yet there he was, moving with his little caravan across the lovely hills and meadows of the dairy country, through the byways of the corn belt and the wildernesses of the rural south.
