A new look at the Okito Box Teach-InLewis GansonIn 1911, Okito was in partnership with Joe Klein in a magic shop on Broadway, New York. Joe suffered from indigestion and kept his boxes of pills in a drawer in the shop. Okito often handled the pill boxes and noticed that the lid would fit on both bottom and top and in each case, the box looked the same. He had some made up in metal instead of cardboard, of such a size as to take coins and so the "Okito Coin Box" was born. Since they were first marketed by the Bamberg Magic and Novelty Company, dealers all over the world have manufactured and sold these boxes. Different ideas have been incorporated,... | ★★★★★ $9.50 to wish listPDF |

Sparring PartnersScott F. Guinn#3 in the "Sit-Down Coin Magic" Series, this double coin box routine is an absolute stunner!
Two small brass boxes with lids are shown empty. The lids are replaced. After a magic gesture, one of the boxes has 4 silver coins in it! These are dumped into a spectator's hand (they can be examined) and then replaced in the box. The lids are placed on both boxes. Suddenly, the box with the coins is empty, and the other box now holds the coins! Just as suddenly, the coins jump back to the first box!
Next, the 4 silver coins instantly and miraculously change to 4 copper coins! These copper coins... | ★★★★★ $10 to wish listPDF |
Ken Brooke's Okito Box RoutineAldo ColombiniThis is probably the best routine ever created for the Okito Box. In the hands of the legendary Ken Brooke, this routine was a masterpiece. You will study the Master Move, the best way to secretly turn over the box. Once mastered, you will be introduced to a four-phase entertaining routine with simple props.
The effect, briefly is: A coin is in the box which is placed on top of a cardbox. The coin penetrates the cardbox. The effect is repeated. Then the coin disappears and reappears inside the box. Finally, the coin penetrates the hand of the performer! If wanted, everything can be examined. Detailed... | ★★★★★ $10 to wish listMP4 (video) |
