Very easy to do, impromptu and with a big effect! What else would you ask? Count Down by Ken de Courcy is a card trick that you can present in several ways, all well explained in this little manuscript.
The basic effect is the following: A spectator shuffles his own pack (Yes! It can be his own pack of cards and he really shuffles it...), then counts ten cards in a reverse order. If a number of spots on a card happens to match the number he is counting aloud at the time, the card is thrown out face-up. If none match during the count, a card is dealt face down in front of the magician.

There is magic for close up shows, for mentalism, for parlour shows and also for commercial walkabout work. Here is a run down of the contents:
Aces Under Control - this is a perfect way to produce the four Aces in that it looks skillful yet is easy to do

The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge - Volume 2 features material for close up, stand up and even children's shows. Here is a run down of the contents:
1-2-3 Jumbo Cards Across - great version of the classic trick for stand up adult shows or children's work. Easy to do.
The Blankety-Blank Pack - a striking blank deck routine that finishes with the entire deck printing backs and faces.
Diary Of A Nobody - a neat variation on the Danson Diary trick which only uses one diary and one deck plus has a twist at the end.
Corrector - a nice use of an old idea using a window envelope...
For over 30 years Mark Leveridge has gradually been creating a portfolio of card effects and routines where the accent is on practicality and entertainment value. In the first of four projected volumes The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge - Volume 1 offers the reader 15 commercial effects, all of which should be within the capabilities of everyone except the total beginner.
Instead of padding out this ebook with minor technical variations, or with descriptions of esoteric card sleights and moves, Mark has chosen to provide a range of varied, interesting and above all individual tricks...
Queens Quartet is a 4 part routine that uses the Queens to find selected cards in different and novel ways.
The routine can be performed as three individual effects (the fourth effect doesn't work itself) or as a whole. In performing the routine as a whole, you will find that each effect has been created to lead automatically into the next one, producing an act that "flows" from start to finish.
You will need to be able to do the following techniques:

Cards and Strangers contains six effects that will make your audience sit up, take notice, and want more.
These effects aren't just magical. They are entertaining! And isn't that what we get paid for?
Every effect in this ebook has been set on rules! They must be entertaining, have not too many sleights (but NOT self working) and can be performed in the hands. All too often there isn't space on the table to perform or sometimes no table. As American magician Paul Lelekis states in the Forward.
"The number of tricks out there that can be performed completely in the hands can "fit on the head of...
Three off beat effects which have received the praise of laymen, magicians and reviewers.
CLEAR THOUGHT uses four blank cards. A spectator is asked to think of one of the four Queens, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds or Spades, and whilst the blank cards are in her own hands one of them changes to the mentally selected card. No questions are asked. Not to be outdone, the performer changes the other blanks into the remaining Queens.
POLYTHENE PAM is a novel version of Find The Lady. A spectator fails to find the lady which continually disappears leaving just four blank cards. At the finish all the...
Paul A. Lelekis provides a trio of titillating tricks for the close-up performer! All three routines are world-class effects. The bonus effect was contributed by the amazing Scottish performer, Ronnie Wood - this effect will blow your spectators away!
The highlight of this e-book is The Ultimate Poker Demo. There have been many poker demos out there...but NONE like this beauty. This will become your absolute favorite routine to perform and is an ideal closer.
These wonderful effects are not for the faint of heart, but for magicians who not only want to "up" their game, but also provide...
New tossed out deck where 5 people peek at a card and each sits down one at a time as each card is revealed.
"Devin first released 'OuttaSight' which was really good. Now, he has released "Knockout Tossed Out" which is as good, if not better than OuttaSight. Any student of the tossed-out deck can learn a lot from Devin's version. It's not just the method behind it but the psychology as well that makes this one really special and fun to perform. I enjoy it, fooling laypeople and magicians alike, and so will those who use it." - Robert Marsi
The Knockout Tossed Out is the latest craze in tossed...
A packet of cards is introduced for a "kind of" poker game in which the spectator cannot lose. The magician explains he has two rewards for him. At the end of the dealings, if the spectator's hand beats the magician's, he gets a $20 bill. If his hand is a royal flush, he gets the magician's credit card. And if the magician's hand beats the spectator's, nobody loses anything. Fair enough?
The cards are then dealt accordingly to the spectator's choices between the magician and him - five cards each. When the spectator spreads his cards face up on the table, he has four cards from a royal flush...
A simple and easy, but, effective way of doing the famous, or infamous, Three Card Monte. The effect where three cards are placed on a table and the 'money' card keeps appearing or disappearing!
Using the story-line of Field Marshal Montgomery's attempts, during WWII, to keep the enemy guessing where he was, you use the cards to illustrate the story and allow you to use a very bad pun.
You will need to buy a 'special' card or two to do this effect. But, these cards can be very easily found on the internet or obtained from your local friendly magic dealer. (Or you can make them yourself!) ...
This has nothing to do with Lager Beer, but a lot with David Regal. REGAL read backwards is LAGER and that's where the name comes from. David's excellent "Clarity Box" that he marketed was the inspiration, in fact I actually use his box in this video (although you could use any container or suitable drinking glass).
This is my handling with the UNPREPARED crystal box, acchieving the same result: a folded card, which has been in full view inside the box is switched out for a signed card. This is a no-frill switch for the worker with a heavy rentention of vision aspect to it.
Of course, it could be...
ABhyaas Change is a fast and stunning card color change that happens in a split second and a small shake. Often confused to be done using gimmicks, it is 100% IMPROMPTU and requires 100% SLEIGHT OF HAND. Taught here are four different ways of performing this color change and three clean-up options.
[Note: It was brought to my attention that ABhyaas Change looks similar to Cody Nottingham's SOLE Change taught in his release Changes. Later, I found out that both changes are different in terms of grip, secret move, end position etc. It's mere co-incidence that they look similar.

TNT is the ultimate card in envelope. A signed card appears in a sealed envelope that has been in full view all the time. So easy to execute, but completely baffling. Perfect for close-up, parlor and trade show magic. A real stunner that can be built in minutes. Detailed video explanation in English.

This ebook covers three different handlings of the top change, as well as the book change, the Erdnase change and Marlo's Snap Change. 56 photographs and 13 video clips show the moves in the kind of detail that is to be expected from Ian's teaching. #12 In Devin Knight's Psychic Sight Series
Here is a different approach to the classic Out Of This World effect. It does away with stacked decks and having to change the color of the indicator card in the middle of the deal. The participants can shuffle the deck before the effect begins.
Effect: The performer shows a deck of cards and four opaque envelopes. He invites two participants, a man and a woman, to test their psychic abilities. The performer points out that a woman is normally drawn to red cards, because of the hearts and diamonds. A man, on the other hand, seems to be drawn to...
All items are described in J.J.'s brief and point by point style. If you're not prepared to THINK, J.J's not interested in ya. Period. Illustrated with Mr. Zappatta's crude but informative sketches.

If you are a fan of magic involving memorized decks or algorithmic stacks, you may wish to check out the following manuscript, called The Bart Harding Secret. As many of you may know, Darwin Ortiz published a method of transforming a deck from New Deck Order (NDO) into Si Stebbins order, which he called the The Si Stebbins Secret. Similarly, the Bart Harding Secret describes how to transform a deck from NDO to the Bart Harding Stack (BHS). Although the Si Stebbins stack is highly versatile, one drawback is that it does not look very random, and so many magicians will not use it for effects in which the...
Following on from Michael Close's ground breaking series of eBooks, Ian has taken over The Work with volume 4 - The Pass. This eBook combines the detailed, structured writing for which Ian has become known with clear photographs and sixteen video clips that show every step in exacting detail. Five passes are covered, the classic pass, Ian's Simple pass, riffle pass, turnover pass and the one handed pass. As they used to say - equal to personal instruction.

This effect has nothing to do with hammers or smashing things. It does have to do with the aces, however. The title came about because David was listening to Cannibal Corpse while He was playing around with this routine, and the song that was on was, "Hammer Smashed Face". That is enough about the weird title.
Here is the effect (and what an effect!):
The four aces (or four selections) are signed and placed aside. A fifth unknown card is selected and placed face down between two jokers, which are then placed into the card box. The aces are then shown once again, and are then cleanly shuffled...
Six tricks with an easy to make deck of cards.
FACTS
An ACAAN-variation. The magician introduces two decks of cards: one has a blue back, the other red. The blue deck is shuffled and tabled. The red deck is numbered from 1 to 52 on the back of the cards. The spectator cuts to a random card in the shuffled red deck and selects another random card. The spectator turns any of the two red cards face up and the other one face down. By using the number on the back of the red-backed card, the spectator deals a pile from the blue-backed deck. The last dealt card matches the face-up, red-backed card.
