Martin is demonstrating the difference between coincidence, or luck, and sleight-of-hand. This is a lovely routine where a spectator selects a card that is lost in the deck. The four aces are shown and one ace with the same suit as the spectators card magically turns face down while the aces are held by the spectator. Perhaps a coincidence. Then another card in the remaining deck turns face down. Luck?! The final climax when the two face-down cards are turned face-up is the transposition of an ace and the chosen card because the ace is found in the deck and the chosen card...

The ace through 10 of Diamonds are inserted into the pack, each card at a different location. The deck is shuffled and then Michael produces each card one by one in different ways using pop out moves, cuts, and other flourishes.

This is an improvement of an effect popularized by Eddie Fechter. However Eddie produced each card the same way using the gymnastic ace production from the Paul LePaul book.

Four Jokers turn one by one into the same card that was selected before by a spectator. For the climax the four cards turn into the four Queens.

This effect was inspired by Jenning's Wild Cards.

A deck is shuffled by a spectator. A card is picked in a fair and open manner. The card is returned and the deck is shuffled again by the spectator. The performer takes out four cards, one of the four is the spectator chosen card. The chosen card vanishes leaving only three cards in the performer's hands. The card appears face-up in the tabled deck.

An Ace assembly with an incredible twist!

Effect:

A card is selected by a spectator and kept face down on the table. We'll say this card is the Jack of Diamonds. The magician claims that this is a "magic card" and will be used later. He then removes the four Aces from the deck as well as 12 indifferent spot cards and proceeds to perform a super clean Ace Assembly.

Effect:
Two red Jacks are placed on the table. A card is freely selected and signed before it is lost in the deck. One of the Jacks is placed on top of the deck and the other on the bottom of the deck. The magician waves his hand over the deck, magically, the first Jack vanishes and upon flipping over the deck, the second Jack seems to have vanished, too. The deck is spread and a face-down card is trapped in between the Jacks and this proves to be the spectator's selection.

This is Andrew's handling of Roy Walton’s “The Collectors” plot. If you are familiar with his original plot, here, the magic moment takes place in the card case and it has served Andrew well over the years. He developed this handling while he was playing a number of “The Collectors” effects during the afternoon in the year of 2006.

Effect: The performer places three Kings in the card case. The performer then proceeds to have two spectators to freely choose two cards from the deck. The two selections are signed and lost in the deck. The performer waves his hand over the card case...

Squeeze is a wonderful effect created by Tommy Wonder. A regular deck of cards is 'squeezed' into a miniture case. It is an incredibly visual effect and was published in the first volume of the Books Of Wonder on page 149.

The biggest problem with this effect is to prepare and build the props. In order to remove the time consuming design work Troels Holm has created the necessary drawings. These sheets make it easy for you to produce all the special items needed for this trick. However, keep in mind that even with these PDFs there is still a significant amount of work left to build all props and prepare...

Visual Card Rise was inspired by Martin Lewis's effect called Cardiographics. Like many magicians Ron wanted to find a close up version of this amazing effect. After some searching Ron couldn't find anything like it that had the visual strength of the original effect. He wanted the animation to look as real and magical as the original. VCR is the final result.

EFFECT
A card rises out of a picture of a card drawn on the back of a playing card. Only the black marker ink moves. No part of the printed back design moves as the animation takes place!
