Testament de Jérome Sharp: An Analytical Essay on the Card Magic in the BookRoberto GiobbiLe testament de Jérome Sharp was the third of a series of five books where Henri Decremps (1746-1826), a Frenchman who had studied law, physics and music, would expose the secrets of Italian conjuror Giuseppe Pinetti (1750-1800) as the result of a challenge. The most famous book of the series is La Magie Blanche Dévoilée (1784). Le testament de Jérome Sharp is the book that contains by far the largest section devoted to card magic. Several facts make this book of outstanding interest to the students of card magic. First, the section devoted to cards is quite large and more comprehensive than any other... | $15 to wish list

Ultimate Floating Deck 2.0(Benny) Ben HarrisThe Ultimate Floating Deck or UFD was first published in 1984. Since then it has spurned many variations. The current manuscript has been refined and re-written. This brings the effect right up to date by cutting out the superfluous "1980's handlings". Consider this some serious "house cleaning" after twenty six years! Now, the structure is linear and smooth--from the selection to the levitation. Clean, smooth, direct. A card is selected and returned to the deck. It is given a quick all-around-square-up, and then placed on the palm. On command, the top half of the deck floats. First a... | $15 to wish list

Traveling Thru IdahoScott F. GuinnDai Vernon's "The Travelers" plot has always been one of Scott's favorites. In this eBook, Scott has compiled several of his streamlined handlings for this plot. All of them are very easy to do, and one of them is almost self-working! In addition, Scott has included "A Visit to Boise," a routine inspired by Larry Jennings' "The Visitor" that makes a great follow-up to "The Idaho Travelers" (the first routine in the book). This book ends with "Sun Valley Serenade," Scott's super-easy handling of Jack Carpenter's "Multiplex Reset." 5 routines, 50 pages, with 52 photos Level: Intermediate

The Advocate: the ultimate playing card indexDaniel MadisonThe best and most practical card index ever created. The Advocate is by far Daniel's most favorite discovery and deceptive tool and was for many years his best kept secret, and it has been a monster of a reputation maker for him. This is his 4th edition of this book; where the predecessors were written with the magician and the effects in mind, this edition keeps due focus on the device itself for deceptive use. Although 'tricks' have not been removed from this edition they have been simplified and reduced to suggestions as opposed to focal points of the book. Much deserved extra attention... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list

Marlo on Card to WalletJon RacherbaumerThis treatise is a compilation of Marlo's methods for performing a card-to-wallet, incorporating his Exclusive Card in Wallet (1961) with methods published in Ibidem, [lc=4446 Hierophant, Card Finesse, Marlo's Magazine, and other previously unpublished but related methods. This material was discovered in a thick folder among Marlo's private effects. The idea of causing a selection to disappear from the deck and then reappear elsewhere is almost as old as playing cards. Reinhard Müller has painstakingly researched the basic effect classified as "Card Found in Some Object," which was being performed (in some form)... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list
Tarot Below Zero - Spectral ChillJeff StoneSwords...Death...Lovers...Fortune... Tarot cards are old, but that doesn't mean they're boring. Tarot cards add an air of mystery and emotion to any performer's arsenal. This ebook will show you a whole new frontier of possibilities with these arcane works of art. Spectral Chill is as much a concept as it is a trick. And the bonus trick, Tarot Below Zero is just one possibility to be found at the tip-of-the-sword in this re-conceived paradigm. Tarot is all about creating links in the mind of the spectator and Spectral Chill is a system to help do exactly that.

Marlo's Chameleon AcesJon RacherbaumerThe basic plot of the "Chamele Aces" was developed in the late 40s by Edward Marlo, who shared ideas about this motif with Neal Elias in 1949. Elias wrote notes regarding the methods they explored, which he and Marlo then filed away. Neither published the "work;" however, Marlo performed an impromptu version at a Pittsburgh magic convention in 1955. Earlier the same year, Roy Walton published his version of "Chamele Aces" in The Gen (February-1955: Volume 10 - Number 10). The basic Chamele Aces plot is four red-back and four blue-back Aces transpose one at a time. 1st edition 2008; 80 pages. Table of Contents

Definitive Slip CutJon RacherbaumerSlip Cuts play a vital role in "Cutting to the Aces," a presentation auspiciously introduced in Stars of Magic (1946). Dai Vernon's handling sparked lots of interest when it first appeared, providing strong incentive to master the Slip Cut. Cardini, who also knew a great trick when he saw one, strongly endorsed Vernon's presentation:
Therefore, this treatise begins with explanations of three versions of Ace-Cutting. This may induce... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list
Arch TriumphsJon RacherbaumerEvery card magician will know the Triumph effect: The performer is recklessly and haphazardly mixing cards face up and face down. Then, without warning or manipulation, this entire disorder is instantly corrected. All of the cards face the same way except for a selection. The most famous routine is Dai Vernon's "Triumph" originally published in Stars of Magic. However, he probably was influenced by other similar effects that came before. One such routine is Sid Lorraine's "Slop Shuffle". Jon Racherbaumer will take you through the history of this wonderfully visual effect and will explain and discuss the many... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list
Ionic Force(Benny) Ben HarrisA COMPELLING FORCING PROCEDURE & APPLICATIONS THEREOF Ionic is a ranging force, applied with the fingers, in order to arrive at an apparently random (or unknown number). Such forces—performed on the fingers—have been used for decades. Karrel Fox and Max Maven are both famous for their applications of the approach. For the record, Ray Hyman is credited with FIRST applying the idea to the use of the fingers. (See The Linking Ring, October, 1953). Ray’s application was for a book test called “It’s In The Book.” Here’s how it usually works: Imagine asking a spectator to hold... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list

Illusive Three Card MonteDavid DevlinThe performer shows three cards: two jokers, and the queen of hearts. The queen of hearts is the money card. All the spectators have to do is follow the queen. No matter how hard they try, it just isn't possible. The queen is anywhere but where they think she is. Finally, in an effort to make it easier to follow, one of the jokers is set aside. The queen is mixed with the one remaining joker. Instantly, the queen has vanished leaving only two jokers in your hands. The "joker" that was set aside, and has been in full view the entire time is turned over and is found to be the missing queen. The... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish listPDF & MP4
Quarterly ReturnsDavid DevlinIn effect, a card is selected and signed. The card is then cleanly torn into four separate pieces. The pieces are then placed between the fingers ala The Multiplying Billiard Balls, and the hands are otherwise empty (they really are!). The pieces are then gathered up one at a time. Each side of each piece is clearly shown. The bundled pieces then instantly pop open in a "flash". The card is fully restored and given to the spectator to keep as a souvenir. 1st edition 2011, 17 pages, photo illustrated | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list |
