Effect: A few cards bearing names of different countries are handed over to a spectator. He is instructed to mix the cards in a face down manner and to place the cards face down on the table. After the spectator has completed shuffling, the performer places an envelope containing a prediction on the table and hands over a playing die to the spectator. The die is rolled and the top spot on the die is noted. The cards are now picked up by the spectator and based on the top most number on the die all the cards are discarded except one. The mentalist invites four spectators for a drawing experiment. Three of them are asked to draw while the fourth spectator acts as a medium between the mentalist and the other three spectators. The Four Mystery Presents: Influence is a follow-up effect from a previous release. It is a three-phase card-matching mentalism routine that demonstrates your ability to influence the cards of the participant.

Deadlift! No ... not the heavy compound movement that works for multiple muscle groups. Instead, this is a hard-hitting piece of mentalism that looks very clean. It is a hands-off impossible card divination that can be done with any regular deck and no gimmicks.

You riffle shuffle the cards. While your back is turned they cut to a card, they memorize it, and they bury it somewhere in the deck. You turn around, and with 100% accuracy, you can go through the cards and remove their thought-of card.

With Souvenirs d'Italie I have wanted to remember and celebrate the old, beloved tourist postcards that were the backdrop to everyone's holidays, those who lived them and those who received them indirectly, almost as an achievement for a promise kept.

Souvenir d'Italie is an effect that makes it possible to make an impossible prediction: one Italian city out of the eight depicted on the postcard is chosen, or even only thought of, by a spectator, who holds them in a bunch in his hands.

The spectator will have to distribute them face down on the table, covered by their respective place...

The spectator is allowed to freely call out random numbers. Through a fair process of elimination, he arrives at a single digit. This number matches exactly a prediction that you have written down previously. This is an easy, foolproof method for apparently reading the spectator's thoughts.

Directly from Devin's show ... if you like effects that can leave an audience in stunned silence, then this is for you.

Telephone tricks were not very practical in the older days, as you had to have a land-line at your shows. Nowadays, almost everyone has a cell phone, so it's easy to do mind-boggling feats at any show. This is direct from my show and is baffling beyond words.

Magician writes on three index cards and hands them to three different people in the audience. These are random people and are not plants. The three people can see what's on the cards, but are asked to not show...

From a paper bag, you remove a ball of paper which is then thrown over your shoulder into the audience. The person who catches it is going to assist you. You show them a selection of movies written on to the faces of playing cards. These are turned face down and the spectator mixes them behind their back. You say you're going to try and use your manipulation skills and make them select a certain movie. After they have mixed the cards, you invite them to take the top card. It's 'Jurassic Park'. You then instruct them to open the ball of paper used to freely select them - it's a poster for Jurassic...

The mentalist hands out a billet containing different objects. The participant then makes a series of choices and moves between objects while the mentalist eliminates different objects along the way with their help. In the end, the participant ends up with an object that matches what the mentalist has written before the start of the routine.

• You do not know how many times or how the participant moves in between objects.
• The participant is somehow involved in the elimination...

A spectator writes any word of their choice onto a sticker which is placed on their playing card. The card is then replaced somewhere into the deck - the magician genuinely doesn't know exactly where the card is. The deck is placed back into the card box and the magician proceeds to correctly discern what word has been chosen. A different word every time. Can also be a drawing, number, etc. Five-second re-set. No-brainer.

What people really love is that there's a fantastic visual gag (or two) in the middle of this routine which we don't want to spoil. But you will get big laughs, guaranteed....

Six Sharpies are placed under 6 numbered, identical paper cups. While the performer turns away, a spectator removes a Sharpie from any cup and writes down the number of the cup they selected. They place the paper in their pocket and replace the Sharpie back under the cup. The magician can instantly reveal which number cup they took the Sharpie from. 100% self-working. Nothing is marked. A simple gimmick you may already have does the trick.

Also included is The Pencil Case Mystery which is a brilliant variation on the above routine. 6 pencil cases each contain a different colored Sharpie....
