New Pentagram Magazine: 10 Tricks from Volume 5Aldo Colombini... - ... You produce two red Jacks. When you attempt to produce the two black Jacks two red Jacks again will appear. Finally, the four Jacks change into the four Aces.
- ROPES-BLEND (Arthur Setterington): Three ropes, one red, one blue and one yellow, blend together into a large loop of colored rope.
- THIMBLE THROUGH (Peter Warlock): A very straightforward penetration of a handkerchief by a thimble, one thimble only being used.

Magigram: 10 effects from volume 1Aldo ColombiniMagigram magazine ran from 1966 to 1995. It was printed by Supreme Magic Co. and edited with superb ability by Ken de Courcy. The collaborators were the best ever, just to name a few: Ken de Courcy, Edwin, Ian Adair, Peter Warlock, Max Maven, Lewis Ganson, Maurice Fogel, Arthur Carter, George Blake, David Britland, Pavel, George Johnstone, Billy McComb and a certain Aldo Colombini (I had a column for over 20 years on card magic written by Lewis Ganson).
CONTENTS:
- CARD LOCATION (Mark Weston): A spectator selects a card. The deck is dealt in three packets. A spectator selects a packet and on top of it, the selected card appears.
- THIMBLE THRU (Ken de Courcy): A thimble,...

Magigram: 10 effects from volume 4Aldo Colombini... - ... the rubber ball ends up INSIDE the other ball.
- BEWILDERING BALLS (Ravelle and Andreé): Three red balls are placed into a bag and three differently colored balls (say green, yellow and blue) are placed into another bag. The balls change places. Great for stage.
- HEAT TRANSFER (Graham Reed): A thimble is placed into your left hand. The right hand takes a lighter and heats the left hand. When this hand is opened, the thimble is seen to have ...kind of melted.
- ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE (Joe Riding): An impromptu card routine with a regular deck of cards. You know in advance the selected card.

- BOLT-HOLE (Ken de Courcy): A Joker is placed inside a card case. A card is selected. Now a great transposition occurs: The Joker appears where the selected card was and the selection appears inside the case.
- THIMBLE, CHOPSTICK AND SILK (Michael Symes): A series of three penetrations using the mentioned objects. A thimble penetrates through a silk. Again the thimble penetrates the silk using the chopstick and finally, the chopstick penetrates through the silk.
- SWIVELLEROO PLUS (David Britland): A fancy...

- RED VERSUS WHITE (Peter Warlock): This is a transposition effect using two balls, say one red and one white. Involves a cup and some sleight of hand. Neat effect.
- VINTAGE TRANSPOSITION (Nicholls Harley): Two freely selected cards change their positions.
- GIANT THIMBLE (Lewis Ganson): A very strong and entertaining routine using a miniature chop cup (or any chop cup as a matter of fact), in many phases.
- DIGITAL DIVINATION (Arthur Carter): A very strong prediction using a deck of cards where, after a deal, you predict how many cards the spectator holds.

At Your FingertipsArthur LeroyAvailable again at long last is this comprehensive work explaining the brilliant thimble artistry of Jimmy Shannon. Jimmy Shannon was the talk of the magic world in the 1930s and 40s, with his beautifully orchestrated thimble manipulation act. His moves were accepted by experts as the most original, most unusual and altogether fascinating of his day. When the time came for Shannon's moves to be recorded for posterity, the task was given to a young writer who was already making a name for himself: Arthur Leroy. In fact, it was felt that Jimmy Shannon's moves were so entirely different from average... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish listPDF |
Sponge Ball ManipulationAudley V. WalshAudley Walsh teaches you two wonderful routines including script ("The big bad wolf and the three little pigs" and "Time marches onward") plus a set of sponge ball moves. He uses a bell which he and the spectator ring several times during the routine. This is a very interesting idea for misdirection as well as camouflaging moves and palms.
The moves you will learn are
- finger palm or finger pinch
- finger pinch with two sponge balls
- pick up
- ring the bell
- thimble move
- sleeving
- lapeling

Magic Without ApparatusCamille Gaultier... Ellis Stanyon, Selbit, Chung Ling Soo, and the author himself.
This is the one work on pure sleight-of-hand to which the term "encyclopedic" is applicable. It presents written and visual instructions on how to perform the choicest specialties of the outstanding experts in card, coin, ball, and thimble manipulation. The sleights are not only explained with admirable clarity but they are analyzed critically and their points of strength (and weakness, if any) are emphasized. The thoroughness with which the author has performed his task is indicated by the fact that he explains five methods... | ★★★★★ $39.50 to wish listPDF |
