Annemann’s Stop Trick
Performer removes pack from case and shuffles cards. The spectator is asked to cut the pack in half and keep either part. A card is chosen from one of the piles, and the spectator replaces it in the same pile. The performer deals from the other pile, asking the spectator to stop the deal whenever he chooses and to turn over the card at which he stops the performer. This book is actually two books: Ted Annemann's Full Deck of Impromptu Card Tricks and Annemann's Miracles of Card Magic. Annemann, perhaps more famous for his mental magic, was an extraordinary card man, a master of subtleties and misdirection. Here we collect all of the 17 ebooks we have by Annemann. Besides the Jinx magazine, this is as far as I know a complete set of all of Annemann's writings. For mentalists, this is mandatory reading. For all other magicians, it is highly recommended because the wisdom imparted to you is applicable in all of magic. Buying these books and booklets individually on the second-hand market will cost you a multiple.

Another great booklet from Annemann. It describes in detail his one man routine. Annemann wove together some of the greatest mental tricks. He discusses the question Magic vs. Mindreading and shares other invaluable advice with the reader. If you do mental magic you already know that anything from Annemann is a must read. If you just start with mental magic, read as much from Annemann as you can get your hands on.

Annemann has created a wonderfully direct telephone book test where he has eliminated faked books, pads, mathematical oddities, forcing decks and the thousand and one "foreign" objects that have been used in combination. This is a reprint of the rare and hard to find Secret Professional Pseudo-Hypnotic Methods first released by G. W. Magnuson in 1931. The original manuscript was poorly typed and full of typos and grammatical errors. Devin Knight has taken this work and reset the type to make it easier to read, corrected the typos and grammar and added photos. In addition, Devin has annotated the text with badly needed updated information regarding these methods.
