A new principle Step Jumble Force is introduced in this ebook. You can use this lovely principle to create your own routines on different themes.
Based on a presentation on the theme of Eye Patterns, a participant secretly thinks of several random digits from his date of birth or phone number and based on that arrives at a random word. Based on this word, he then mentally chooses either a personality trait or a color or playing card etc. And the performer is able to divine this final thought accurately.
There are no sleights, no...
Whether you believe in the concept of rebirth or not, you will surely enjoy performing this effect. It is quick, visual, self working and very impactful.
You can choose to perform this as a serious rebirth themed routine or you can choose to perform this in a humorous way, depending on the kind of audience you are performing this for. Your participant just needs to have a phone with google on it.
The performer shows a single envelope which he says contains the picture of a person who has taken a rebirth from a previous life. The...
The magician reveals thoughts that four spectators are only thinking of without anything being written down or asking any questions.
If you are not familiar with the General Card Principle, it will change the way you think about and perform magic. It is that strong. The General Card Principle is not an effect; it is a principle that, when fully understood, creates miracles that have no explanations. It is one of the most powerful principles in magic. Once you fully understand the General Card Principle, you will have an aha moment.
This eBook presents a mind-blowing effect utilizing the...
Five fantastic mentalism routines from Annemann's creative mind.
The Book Test: Use any book or magazine and do not touch it throughout the entire test.
The Mentalist's Card Staggerer: A pack of cards is shown and shuffled. The spectator deals a row of five cards face down. Any one of these he looks at while your back is turned. The five cards only are picked up by you and placed into an empty pocket. One at a time, the cards are drawn forth openly from your pocket until but one remains. This one the spectator removes himself from the pocket and finds it to be his own card. Everything...

The performer explains that the famous neurologist and psychologist Sigmund Freud had demonstrated this experiment to the famous scientist Albert Einstein when they had first met in Berlin at the home of Freud's youngest son. Einstein was so impressed with it that later he started a correspondence by letters with Freud on critical world issues.
And the performer offers to demonstrate the same experiment to the participants where just by knowing a participant's color choices, the performer is able to accurately deduct a participant's...
Pendulums, colours, readings, switches, peeking.
Profeign – a book on mentalism. A peek, a switch, pendulum work. A few presentations that use a certain, singular move. A take on fourth-dimensional telepathy. An updated version and handling of a now-retired book test. This is now the hateful notepad. A few impromptu-looking devices and techniques to switch billets. As well as an interesting use for the imp devices made by John Riggs. So, if billets, pendulums, books, envelopes and other such delights are your thing.
Profeign will offer you something a little different. There is also...
Effect: The spectator secretly writes the first names of a family member on one business card, a friend on another card, a foe on the third card, and finally a person he has never met on the final card. The cards are mixed by the spectator. The magician identifies the name that corresponds to the correct category (Family, Friend, Foe, Fake). He does this two more times. For the kicker, the magician reveals the name written on the final card without ever seeing the name.
Predict the outcome of a gambling game with 100% accuracy.
The magician offers to play a gambling game. He brings out two envelopes and removes three coins from one of them. Two spectators (S1 and S2) select one coin each. The magician gives the other envelope – which contains a prediction – to a third spectator (S3).
Then, from a packet of blue-backed and red-backed cards, S3 chooses a Secret Card that is put onto the prediction. The remainder is dealt to make up the board on which the coins will move along to select a card (one card equals one square).
The rules are simple: The...
Effect: The magician shows the spectator a unique deck of cards, each bearing a different word. The spectator riffle shuffles the deck. The magician turns away as the spectator takes the top five cards and creates a sentence using those words on the cards. Different sentences can be created by the spectator. Without asking any questions, the magician reveals the exact sentence created by the spectator.

A fun close-up or parlor magic routine (with a mentalism flavor and an "OMG!" ending) that revolves around the game of chess.
The Effect: The performer shows six square cards, each with the image of a chess board setup. On each card, a different piece is missing - a pawn on one, a rook on another, etc. He then shows the backs of those cards, and each is numbered from 1 to 6. Those cards are laid aside for now.
A deck of cards is introduced, and instead of playing cards on the faces, there are pictures of chess pieces, one piece on each card. A spectator is asked to pull a card from the...
The essential mentalism reference work. No mentalist should be without it.
"It is the best, and most complete, introduction to mentalism ever written." - Bob Cassidy
Today, known throughout the world, Corinda has been acclaimed as inventor, writer, and teacher of mentalism - the art of mindreading. Whilst on tour in America, his friends persuaded him to write a book, and with the support of nearly every professional mentalist in the world, Corinda set out to compile The Thirteen Steps to Mentalism.
After two years, the series was published step by step. Corinda succeeded in producing what has...
Excerpt from the introduction:
The theme of the series would have been conveyed more precisely by a title such as 'Audience Involvement and Visual Mentalism'.
It is therefore most desirable that the audience should see exactly what is happening during the preliminaries (or build-up) of an effect. But even this may not be enough. What they see must be interesting enough to rivet their attention. People are most interested in those events in which they involve themselves, in which they 'join in' - identification is the psychological term.
Both of the effects that follow are fully...
A flexible approach to the impossible coincidence.
Find a quiet, secluded space... get comfortable, close your eyes, and imagine: the postman rings. A package trapped for 60+ years in the USPS's Dead Letter Office has finally arrived. The sender: Some odd Canadian named Lyons. Contents: The long-lost issue of an obscure mag dedicated entirely to a flexible, multi-layered framework for one solitary routine. Hidden math of some kind may be involved.
Enough to jolt some from their magical slumber in frantic search of freshly-baked eye cookies? Sure. But for those still reveling comfortably...
Effect: Step into a world of mentalism with Final Destination, where the magician predicts the exact final destination of a virtual journey chosen by the spectator. Using a sleek and intuitive app, the spectator freely selects a departure city, and the journey unfolds with a series of destinations. As the journey progresses, the spectator's final destination is revealed — matching the magician’s prediction perfectly.
How it Works: The magician secretly writes down a prediction and hands it to a spectator. Through the app, the spectator mentally selects a departure city, not by physically...

"This is absolutely unbelievable! This is the most out-of-the-box method for this type of trick that I have ever seen!!! I have no idea how the Unnamed Magician managed to think of this method." - Tony Bianco

Humorous and entertaining mentalism from the Danish master Aage Darling.
The author believes in the simplicity of method allied to mystery and entertainment value, and here you will find comedy in such effects as Pin Up Girl Test and Spirits Test, publicity with Telephotrix and other gems, and mystery and entertainment with all the 15 incredible routines.
Excerpt from the introduction by George Armstrong:
This work is a translation of the original edition, published in Denmark in 1948. Editing the English language edition has been a pleasant task, for Aage Darling, like myself, is more concerned with...
One of my favourite mentalism effects of all time is So Sato's "Bath Towel Mentalism." It's a very strong card divination effect with a super clever method, and I've been performing it for more than 5 years. As good as the effect is, for a while I'd been trying to improve it in two ways. (1) I wanted to allow the spectators to look at their selections during the routine (rather than at the end), and (2) I didn't want the spectators to swap their selections (it always felt a bit unjustified to ask them to do this). Eventually, a solution to achieve these two things occurred to me and that is...
Houdini and I among the spiritualists.
This book is one of the most important sources of skeptical literature on paranormal investigation from 1890 - 1950. It includes obscure and forgotten newspaper records, material that today appears nowhere else. Its references to Houdini and clippings dealing with him provide important source material for research into Houdini.
In this five-book series, I reveal the mentalism effects I've created over the past 15 years - none of which have ever been published before.
In Volume #4, you'll get 10 powerful effects across different categories: Locks, "Cyphers?", Monsters, Fate, and Bizarre. Plus, 3 bonus ideas - two with a Malini-inspired feel, and one where I've tackled a plot I've always disliked. (Did I fix it? You decide.)
As a special bonus, you'll get 16 QR codes linking to video footage, a hidden website, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
You'll also receive full access to 2 custom web apps: ...

A short account of its rise and progress, with some exposures of so-called spirit media.
Excerpt from the preface:
In writing this I have no intention of hurting the feelings of the many amiable persons possessing this peculiar faith; but I shall not hesitate to ridicule the - to ordinary minds - absurd doctrines inculcated by their leaders, or to lay bare the miserable deceptions of the mediumistic craft.
I am convinced that many adherents of this so-called religion are "impressed" with the truth of the doctrines on very unsatisfactory grounds, that they are frequently in ignorance...
Everything you want to know about locks and their use in conjuring.
Excerpt from the introduction by Mark Strivings:
I couldn't be happier that this book exists. I know that I will refer to it over and over again in the years to come. I'm sure you will as well. In these pages lie the keys (pun intended) to dozens of amazing demonstrations of mental and magical abilities to entertain and confound your audiences.
The ultimate examination of the Seven Keys to Baldpate plot and the use of locks in mentalism and magic. Locked is 360 pages of tricks, routines, explanations, research, and...
A great new presentation by Ed Stoddard for Annemann's famous "Pseudo Psychometry" effect.
Not to worry if you don't own the Annemann original, for that's also included. This is a terrific 10-minute routine, thanks to the marvelous presentation from Stoddard and the devious method from Annemann.
Reviews:
..."Stoddard is certainly cooking with gas for you mentalists. We particularly like his handling of Annemann's Pseudo Pyschometry which is being put out as Intuition." - Bruce Elliott
"'Pseudo-Psychometry' has always been a headline effect. Now in its new dress, 'Intuition' likewise tops the bill." - Max Holden
Effect: In this demonstration of mind reading, a spectator simply thinks of one shape from a selection of seven distinct shapes. The spectator keeps their chosen shape private. Through the process where the spectator secretly spells out their chosen shape, the magician reveals the shape they had only moments ago held in their mind.
Here's what makes this effect so special: by using geometric shapes instead of regular playing cards, and adapting a clever principle from the gambling world into mind reading, we've created something truly different. It's not only astonishing to your audience,...
Here's a knockout triple prediction that may well be the highlight of your act.
You number three large, 8.5" x 11" cards as Numbers 1, 2 and 3. On each you write a prediction, one for each of three people in the audience who agree to assist in the experiment. Another person acts as a witness, keeping a record of the spectator's thoughts. (Note to mental magic buffs: This is not your grandfather's old "four-for-one method.")
Incredibly direct and easy to do. Makes a terrific climax to your mental routine. If we could be so bold, this allows you to perform a similar routine as that using...
