Fred Kaps' CurrencyFred KapsEdward Victor's 11 Card Trick done with Dollar Bills. The details and inner working of this routine have been kept secret since the days of Fred Kaps; before then it was only divulged to a handful of very close friends, and occasionally discussed by Fred Kaps with serious performers. Subsequently the original routine has been independently developed, changed and adapted by Trevor Lewis, Mike Caveney, Peter Pit, Ger Copper and other well-known performers to suit their own individual styles. The transcript of the manuscript in Fred Kaps' handwriting has only been very slightly edited. It is substantially the routine Fred always presented,... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish list

Torn and Restored Cigarette PaperMichael SkinnerThe Torn and Restored Cigarette Paper is a classic sleight-of-hand close-up effect. Skinner's main contribution here is the performance which is humorous and fits his personality. The technique is Nate Leipzig's technique which can also be found in Stars of Magic or Dai Vernon's Tribute to Nate Leipzig. runtimet 6min 44s | ★★★★★ $6 to wish listMP4 (video)
The Working Pro's Bill in LemonScott F. Guinn"THE PERFECT CLOSER!" This is quite possibly THE SINGLE STRONGEST ROUTINE in Scott's arsenal. A clean, magical, and effective Bill in Lemon routine that is audience tested and approved. A spectator's dollar bill (verified as the same bill at every step of this process) is identified, such that everyone in the audience knows it is HIS bill. The bill is then openly (no envelopes) burned by the same spectator. Another spectator has been holding a package since before the show started. He brings it forward. The first spectator opens it and removes its contents: some napkins, a lemon, and a... | ★★★★★ $10 to wish list

Alida: Little Winged One(Benny) Ben HarrisMy goodness, this little effect created a shit-storm when it was released in 2000! I don't think the attacks had been so brutal since Cosmosis (in the mid-1980s). Anyway, this simple and effective idea was loved by some (see, for example, Richard Kaufman in Genii Magazine), and hated by others (see, for example, Michael Close in Magic Magazine). Ben relishes dividing opinion, and Alida certainly did that. However, it was also a genuine stepping stone in the thought processes that would eventually lead to Enlightenment: The Ultimate Floating Card - which is way superior. So, controversial... | ★★★★★ $5.95 to wish list

Almost as good as mine....Ok, it IS as good as mine!" - Alan Rorrison, creator of Misleading Misled "Highly recommended!" - Jeff Pierce "...absolutely brilliant! Looks fantastic and totally clean." - Chris Congreave "I've worked on countless versions of the Pencil Thru Bill plot over the past 20 years and I can honestly say that Cameron's is the very best!" -- Iain Moran "I have a few versions of pen thru bill both gimmicked and ungimmicked, this is one of the cleanest impromptu (no gimmicked)... | ★★★★★ $12 to wish list

EvolutionAlan RorrisonAn offbeat effect, the head of a stick man that's drawn on a signed business card moves across the paper to another location. Effects where a drawing changes are always crowd pleasers. This one requires a flame from a cigarette lighter. The principle, which was entirely new to me, is ingenious and allows you to create all kinds of variations. The underlying principle essentially allows you to vanish a drawing or piece of drawing at will. You can even draw in several colors. I already have a few ideas that I will explore. You will need an item that is readily available in any stationary shop... | ★★★★★ $12 to wish listMP4 (video)
Misleading MisleadAlan RorrisonThe best pen-through-bill routine you will find! (If you are interested only in the first penetration phase you can also buy it separately with Real Pen-Etration for much less. You might also want to check out the same effect achieved with different sleights: Driven by Cameron Francis.) In late 2003 / early 2004 Misleading Mislead stormed into the magic community and quickly gained its self-critical acclaim. However, the full routine had been trimmed down from a two-phase routine to a one-phase trick by the company who produced it. Alan was very unhappy about this as all the hard work and tested moves that took... | ★★★★★ $14 to wish listMP4 (video)
Paper TearingL. O. BrownAll you need is a piece of paper and your hands and you can follow along the instructions in this ebook. It is organized into 27 lessons and teaches many wonderful and fun shapes from the anchor to the sword and from the lighthouse to the dove. The goal is to tear and not to cut which means that this material is appropriate for children as well as adults. Each tear is accompanied by patter to teach many spiritual truths. Although not magic by itself, this material is appropriate to be considered by the gospel magician. 1st edition 1921; 27 pages. | ★★★★★ $5 to wish list
Lotto Flash WalletStephen TuckerThis is an absolutely incredible transposition of a 'winning' lottery ticket (you say that you had three of the numbers drawn), which is isolated in a wallet and a £10.00 note held in your hands! Believe it or not it's an even faster transposition than the one you saw the Pendragons do on TV with their 'Metamorphosis' sub-trunk illusion. Best of all it's 100% self-working, but looks like incredible sleight-of-hand or real magic.

Almost Impossible Bill to CanPaul RomhanyTen years ago Paul Romhany caused a stir in the magic fraternity when he performed his original Impossible Bill To Can routine on national television. He was accused of using stooges because the routine was that impossible. However what magicians did not know was that Paul had worked out a routine that did not use stooges. In 2007 Paul released the exact routine and version he used on the TV show on a DVD and is still available from most magic dealers. This new version is an alternative Bill To Can routine which in many ways is more practical for most working conditions. This routine is... | $24.95 to wish list
Bill Burner ClearRon JaxonEffect A borrowed and signed bill is wrapped around a clear cigarette lighter and held in place with a rubber band. The magician is able to cause the bill to vanish from or appear back on the lighter at will. The vanished bill can appear anywhere the magician chooses. What makes this effect so stunning is the fact that it's done with a clear lighter. When the bill vanishes they can see right through it so there's no way the bill can be somehow hidden under or in the lighter. The magicians hands are also completely empty.

Perpetuity TubeRon JaxonEffect The Perpetuity Tube is a perfect follow up for one of Ron's other ebooks called Bill Burner because it uses an objects that's logical to have with a lighter (a small cigar tube). In other words it's a perfect place for the vanished bill to magically (and visually) travel into. But that's not all you can do with these little tubes. Just about anything that can fit in them can be made to magically and visually appear, vanish or turn into other objects in a very visual manner. Just to give you an idea of the kinds of things you can accomplish with the Perpetuity tubes:

Change for a DollarRon JaxonThis effect is hard to describe. It's a very unusual version of the classic mismade bill in which the bill is folded in half then you cause the crease in the bill to move to a different edge. When the bill is unfolded you have a very unusual looking bill. Fold it in quarters and move the new crease to another edge and the bill looks even more unusual. Then you return everything back to normal and return the bill to it's owner. You really should watch the demo video below to get the full effect. The demo video runs through the entire routine very quickly to keep the video short but you can... | ★★★★★ $10 to wish list

Houdini's Paper MagicHarry HoudiniPaper is a fascinating product. Being the son of a paper maker (my father worked many years for a paper manufacturer) I developed early on a fondness to paper. And Houdini's Paper Magic is all about paper. Tricks with paper, paper folding, paper tearing, and paper puzzles. It seems today paper folding was replaced by balloon modeling. I have only seen once an act entirely based on paper tearing. Maybe this ebook version of Houdini's Paper Magic inspires one to build an act around paper. This book is definitely a good start. The Modern Conjurer has also an excellent chapter on paper folding. Paul Fleming wrote: The title... | ★★★★★ $4 to wish list |
