Devin Knight
The Invisible Gun by Devin Knight

A classic effect from the past, now revised with a new and improved method. Imagine showing your hand to be empty, front and back, then forming it into a finger gun and shooting at an object. Much to the surprise of the audience, they hear an actual bang!

Devin Knight's new Invisible Gun will allow you to do just that, and do it without the use of any caps, explosives or hidden shooting devices. A new method that is 100% safe and has never been used in this type of effect. No chemicals or thumb tips needed. No expensive gadgets to buy either. You can do this within minutes of reading the...

David Devlin
Contact by David Devlin

Book tests are a staple in the repertoires of mentalists and are very effective in a performance of mentalism (see David's Bookworm Act). However, for magicians the effect can be rather lack luster as nothing visual happens. There is very little or even no "magic" when it comes to a standard book test.

David Devlin's Contact is not a book test in the traditional sense. It is a book test designed for the magician. It is a book test of sorts with a séance themed presentation. It is through the book itself that the performer will make contact with the "spirits". The presentation is rather spooky; however...

Gerard Zitta
Darwin by Gerard Zitta

A classic mathematical principle with two piles.

This is an old mathematical principle used in many card effects. Most of the effects were done with 52 cards. But the principle works with any number of cards (or business cards). This manual explains the principle in detail and generalizes the principle. It allows you to predict the last card that will be left after dealing two piles and eliminating the same pile every time. After reading this ebook, you will be able to use any number of cards. The original pile can be any size, the discarded pile can be chosen, and the final card can be...

Paul A. Lelekis provides workers with five very strong, full routines that can be used in any performer's repertoire. These routines are strong openers and powerful closers. This e-book begins with a Prologue called Consistency of Action. This section is a "how-to" guide for making your magic more professional - very important stuff. Patter and many photographs are included. There are NO difficult sleights used, allowing you to concentrate on the funny patter. Paul also included a video of The Retention of Vision Coin Pass.

"Great, solid commercial stuff like you ALWAYS do, Cam." - Jack Carpenter

"It's really f***ing GOOOOD!" - Dave Forrest

If Triumph, The Collectors, and a color changing deck effect all got together and had a baby, it might just look something like The Triple. Cameron Francis delivers another knockout multi-phase card routine that's truly amazing to witness but devilishly simple to execute. No gimmicks. No difficult sleight of hand. Just a truckload of powerhouse magic. Perfect for the professional...

Dave Forrest
Snatch by Dave Forrest

Impossibly produce a card the spectator is thinking of from a cased deck, bound with a rubber band!

Your spectator shuffles the deck and hands it back to you. You make no moves. They think of a card from inside the deck. You make no moves. They are then immediately handed the deck to shuffle again. You make no moves. The deck is fairly cased and then bound with a rubber band. Within THREE SECONDS you produce one card from inside the deck yet the deck itself is still cased and bound. The spectator removes the band. The spectator removes the deck and is asked to locate the card they were thinking...

Clue by Gerard Zitta

This clever mathematical principle allows you to find a thought item among any number of items, even though you do not know the initial order. You don't even need to know what they are. You see nothing. It is entirely hands off and improvised, and can even be done over the phone. It works with any number of flat objects (cards, index or business cards, coasters, etc.) or usual objects (key, coin, lighter, pen, etc.).

Two practical examples are provided, but it is so easy that you'll be able to improvise your own mentalism effects with borrowed objects or cards, or with your own business...

Jon Racherbaumer
Pockethereal by Jon Racherbaumer

As a plot, Cards Across is fairly simple and direct. It's a transition effect where a number of cards - usually three - magically travel from one packet to another. There are methods that use gimmicked cards, others use purely sleight-of-hand.

This manuscript is an exploration of subtle methods based on Stewart James' "Pockethereal." Its selling point is that there are no switches or exchanges. The only sleight of hand is the false counts. This put it in a class by itself.

David Devlin
Lucky 13 by David Devlin

A blue backed deck is shown. A card is removed, and placed aside. The deck is spread face down. It is seen that all of the cards have blue backs, except for one card which has a red back. Two cards are now very randomly chosen, and their values are added together. Let's assume that the total is "13" (the actual total is up to you!). The deck is turned face up (in every instance) and the cards are dealt one at a time until the 13th (or whatever value was chosen) card is dealt. Let's say that the 13th card is the Queen of Clubs. The deck is now spread face down. Each and every card has a blue...

The Visitation by David Devlin

This came about thanks to Larry Jennings' classic effect, "The Visitor". David has always loved that effect. It is impromptu, there is no setup, a borrowed deck can be used, and the effect is stunning. One day, David was playing with the routine, and began to think along the lines of, "Wouldn't it be cool if the selected card could be seen the entire time? What if the spectator could see their card sitting between the two face down cards right up until the very moment that it vanishes?" The answers, of course, are yes! Of course it would be cool. And with The Visitation these things are possible!

Here is...

Psychic Mysteries by Robert A. Nelson

Impromptu mental mysteries for the psychic entertainer. This is an updated version of the original.

From the introduction by B. W. McCarron:

Psychic Mysteries is one of Nelson's earliest works. Original copies are as rare as the proverbial hen's teeth. That it deserved to be made available again to performers and historians was an easy decision to make. The harder question was whether to produce a "warts and all" release, leaving intact the grammatical errors and typos of the original, or to provide some amount of editorial refresh that would make it more attractive to modern audiences. ...

Since Mr. James has retired from performing and has lectured for magicians. Stop Fooling Us! are the lecture notes from his first lecture series.
