"Power-Trip Sparkling, Turbulence Brilliant and VapoRise Amazing. Three excellent card tricks. Well done - keep up the good work." - Thomas Connelly (UK)
You offer to present a magic show using seven cards. You show an Ace, Two, Three and Four plus three Jokers. The A 2 3 & 4 are the performers. The Ace, you say, is the lightest card because it has the least ink on it, whereas the Four is the heaviest. The lightest card — the Ace — is placed into the Joker packet and it instantly rises to the top. You now add the Two to the Ace and place both cards into the Joker packet — both... ★★★★★ $12 Secrets of GamblingHugh Miller This is a great book on the secrets of how to cheat with cards and dice at many popular games - a guide to dishonest gambling. ★★★★★ $15 The Open BookJ. H. Johnson This is the book that tells the truth about cards, dice, punch boards, gambling wheels, races, and all other kinds of gambling.
Don't be a sucker! The Open Book reveals how crooked gamblers, cheats, and con artists fleece the innocent and unwary public out of thousands of dollars daily. Even that carnival game at the local fairgrounds may not be as innocent as it looks. Get the inside scoop.
Valuable secrets of marked cards, gaffed dice, ink formulas, holdouts and other cheating devices -- all clearly explained. Also included are scams and cons used by the unscrupulous to bilk the unwary.... ★★★★★ $10 B'tweenDavid Devlin David Devlin has floored everyone he has shown this incredible effect. Even members of his family were nailed. This is an amazing piece of mental magic. Based on an array of different effects and principles, this is certain to go into your working repertoire. It is self-working and can even be performed impromptu (at least the majority of the effect can be performed impromptu)!
The effect is this: A deck is shuffled, and two predictions are made on the backs of two business cards. One is a number and the other is the name of a playing card. Two spectators deal cards in turn until they each... $4 New Tops Volume 12 (1972)Neil Foster Recil Bordner, Publisher

$10 Distorted SiblingsDavid Devlin Distorted Siblings combines the best aspects of several tricks by John Bannon, Max Maven, and Aldo Colombini. The routine is this:
A packet of red-backed cards and a packet of blue-backed cards are placed face-down on the table. It is explained that each packet contains the four kings and that one in each packet is face-up as a prediction. Two spectators each name a king. The named kings are in fact the face up kings. The kings are turned face down and it is shown that each king is in their opposite packets.
Each king is then placed back into its own packet. All four blue cards are together as are the red cards,... ★★★★★ $12 Deckless Angels and Devils ACAANUnknown Mentalist
Please note that this is deckless. And that does not mean propless. Two double blank business cards are used in this effect, with something written/printed on them of course, as you will get to know in this manuscript. This ACAAN is notoriously unknown as DAD ACAAN. And this is completely different than the earlier Deckless ACAAN.
3 different participants freely and randomly choose a card value, a number, and a suit. All are fair choices...or so it seems. And you read all 3 minds with a uniquely stunning impact. You can even perform this to a single participant or even in a virtual show or a video call.... $15 Bending Minds 3Biagio Fasano & Renzo Grosso & Davide Rubat Remond
Bending Minds Vol. 3 ends the collection of effects centered on the principle of the binary system, according to a new and innovative vision. In this third volume, not only playing cards will be used to tell our magical stories, but also tickets or some business cards.
You will find 4 new effects and an extra bonus one, using cards or just some tickets, with a number of elements varying from 3 to 7. Throughout the course of the effect, the cards are subject to a dynamic, the positions are constantly changing, each time in a different way. Even more than in the first two volumes you will... $20 ACAAN: a fresh approach to an age-old plotUnnamed Magician
Imagine:
The magician introduces a special deck of 52 cards, where each card is seen to have a number 1 through 52 printed on it. The spectators (two of them) are asked to verify that all the numbers are indeed different, that there aren't any duplicate numbers. The magician hands one spectator this special deck (in a face-down position) and says, "I want you to select a number 1 through 52. But instead of just thinking of a number 1 through 52, I want you to randomly select one. Like that, even you don't know what number you'd end up with, thereby eliminating any psychological influence.... $20 ACAAN: another approach to an age-old plotUnnamed Magician
Note: For those of you who own ACAAN: A Fresh Approach to an Age-Old Plot, this uses a totally different principle.
Imagine:
The magician introduces a special deck of 52 cards, where each card is seen to have a number 1 through 52 printed on it. The spectators (two of them) are asked to verify that all the numbers are indeed different, that there aren't any duplicate numbers. A fun close-up or parlor magic routine (with a mentalism flavor and an "OMG!" ending) that revolves around the game of chess.
The Effect: The performer shows six square cards, each with the image of a chess board setup. On each card, a different piece is missing - a pawn on one, a rook on another, etc. He then shows the backs of those cards, and each is numbered from 1 to 6. Those cards are laid aside for now.
A deck of cards is introduced, and instead of playing cards on the faces, there are pictures of chess pieces, one piece on each card. A spectator is asked to pull a card from the... ★★★★★ $3 Magigram Volume 16 (Sep 1983 - Aug 1984)Supreme-Magic-Company ... - ... - Ron Thursby

All seven tricks are strong and streamlined, with most being completely hands off and others being predominantly hands free. I think that you will find all the ideas refreshing.
1. Spectator does the Sandwich (This first appeared in Inventions) - A 100% hands off effect whereby a card is picked by the spectator, and cut into the pack. He then suddenly finds the two red Kings face up with four face down cards in between. The spectator then picks one of these cards, and discovers that it is his card! The three other... ★★★★★ $6 Wave TrioJohn Gelasi Young magician John Gelasi presents three new takes on a classic plot in packet card magic: the brainwave effect. Each of these new effects are novel, fun approaches to the plot, with varied methods and handlings, so you're sure to find one that you'll love performing. Better yet, each effect ends completely clean, with all of the cards being totally examinable at the conclusion. Resets are fast, making these the perfect effects to have in your wallet for that spur of the moment performance.
