In my 50+ years as a magic creator, author, and dealer, I have lived through more than a couple of operational changes. When I started my magician's service, freight and distribution were not a consideration, and our initial trade terms in this country were a minimum order of the then equivalent of 80 US cents, (Rs.25.00) post-free. We also sent a couple of parcels every day around the world, and our business grew over the years to a range of over 2000 items and over $1 million of sales (to the end customer) every year.
Things kept changing, with the freight galloping... ★★★★★ $45 Digital Book TestUnknown Mentalist ... your office or at home - for colleagues or friends. You can even use this in a close-up or parlor show.

Jean and I are doing another little booklet, this time on the Invisible Pass, in which illustrations will take the place of text. This is being done as an experiment, in an attempt to record a new pass which is exceptionally good. It's one which I've been using for a good many years and which, up to now, I've kept to myself. Several months ago Charlie Miller was so interested in the move (he couldn't see the pass although I did it repeatedly) that I gave him some of the moves ..."

Many will dismiss it with 'another old magic book'. But those in the know have carefully studied it and hold it dear as one of the most valuable books for a working professional magician.
It is the original and the only one of four places where Annemann's bullet catch is described, because it was Orville Meyer who supplied Annemann with the method. All the three other places where this is described are out of print and hard to impossible to find.
And now this lost Orville Meyer gem has been made even more valuable by extensive annotations and a new... $18 Canning's Card CapersDoug Canning Twelve wonderful card routines and one non-card memory feat bonus effect: Mental Shopper.

★★★★★ $37.50 My Q and AScott Creasey A full 30 minute act that you can carry in your pocket and perform in almost any standup situation, My Q & A the ultimate mentalism routine.
"It doesn't matter how you obtain the information, it is how you answer the questions that is important."
The statement above is one I have read again and again in published works on the Q & A from some of the best in the business.
I am afraid however that after nearly twenty years studying the systems of others and working on my own Q & A methods and routines, I have to disagree. To me as a full time mentalist and psychic entertainer, how... ★★★★★ $7 Blindsight: the originalDevin Knight One of the most talked about effects at the 2006 Mindvention. Most of the models currently available are not very deceptive looking; these cheap versions use a plastic glass and a piece of polished metal (a highly polished piece of stainless steel can be very effective, but many of the cheaper glasses on the market don't use highly polished stainless steel.) One of the common mistakes made in these type of glasses (both older models and current models) is to have the edge of the gimmick extend to the very top edge of the tumbler. Following this, the magician shuffles the cards together many times, takes some of the cards, flips them, and then shuffles them into the other pile to ensure that no one can know if the selected card is face-up or down.
The magician then takes the whole deck and spreads it on the table so the spectator can easily see the chaotic arrangement of cards.
Finally, the magician deals the cards on the table until he stops at a specific card, then the magician asks... ★★★★★ $6 Shooting CardDaryl Hurst
The story of Annie Oakley's legendary trick shooting in the Old West lays the foundation for a magical challenge with a selected card secured in the middle of a deck. With the audience providing the sound effects, the challenge is met when the helper's finger gun makes the chosen card fly out, complete with a burn hole from the imaginary bullet. Another legend is born!
Shooting Card was one of my pet routines and I loved every chance I had to perform it. I could create pure wonder by having a young volunteer 'shoot' their selected card out of the deck in my hand.
