Zuerst wollte ich ja nur mei­nen "LAGER Switch" beschrei­ben, dann aber merkte ich schnell, dass in dem Thema noch viel drin ist und dazu noch viel mehr gesagt wer­den kann und ich sam­melte Ideen. Dar­aus wur­den dann zwei Hefte, die sich sehr aus­führ­lich mit dem Effekt aus­ein­an­der­set­zen und ihn von allen mög­li­chen Sei­ten beleuch­ten. Ich könnte alleine...

A packet of cards is introduced for a "kind of" poker game in which the spectator cannot lose. The magician explains he has two rewards for him. At the end of the dealings, if the spectator's hand beats the magician's, he gets a $20 bill. If his hand is a royal flush, he gets the magician's credit card. And if the magician's hand beats the spectator's, nobody loses anything. Fair enough?

The cards are then dealt accordingly to the spectator's choices between the magician and him - five cards each. When the spectator spreads his cards face up on the table, he has four cards from a royal flush...

A simple and easy, but, effective way of doing the famous, or infamous, Three Card Monte. The effect where three cards are placed on a table and the 'money' card keeps appearing or disappearing!

Using the story-line of Field Marshal Montgomery's attempts, during WWII, to keep the enemy guessing where he was, you use the cards to illustrate the story and allow you to use a very bad pun.

You will need to buy a 'special' card or two to do this effect. But, these cards can be very easily found on the internet or obtained from your local friendly magic dealer. (Or you can make them yourself!) ...

The trick that fooled Al Mann! This is one of the best impromptu feats for apparently demonstrating psychic power that was ever created. You could spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on clever electronic devices to duplicate this effect but that is not necessary. This has nothing to do with Lager Beer, but a lot with David Regal. REGAL read backwards is LAGER and that's where the name comes from. David's excellent "Clarity Box" that he marketed was the inspiration, in fact I actually use his box in this video (although you could use any container or suitable drinking glass).

This is my handling with the UNPREPARED crystal box, acchieving the same result: a folded card, which has been in full view inside the box is switched out for a signed card. This is a no-frill switch for the worker with a heavy rentention of vision aspect to it.
