The magazine started in October 1979 and the final issue was published in August 1983. When Derek Lever launched Magic Mag he felt that the entire magic scene had become stagnant and uninteresting and once the magazine was launched he was not afraid of having a dig at anyone and everyone. It was an outspoken magazine with some top professional contributors such as: Simon Lovell, Trevor Lewis, David Howarth, Tommy Copper, Terry Seabrooke and Billy McComb. It contains hundreds of professional effects and routines, articles, hints and tips for everyone with an interest in becoming a working professional.

This is a collection of the first two volumes of The Conjuring Record from April 1913 to February 1915. The first issue, March 1913 is missing.

From Volume 1, Number 7, through Volume 2, Number 3, this was the official publication of the National Conjurers' Association.

The March 1914 issue has a supplement with a number of interesting photos of performers not that often seen depicted: Hagen, Fricke, Kennedy, Simms, Oakley, Wilcox, Hubbard, Lohrey, Garrett, Dresbach, Karmont, Shambo, Halley, Schreck, Karland, Yeakel, Foster, Vardome, ..., and a photo of the Power's Magic Store.

In 1906 Houdini released his own magic publication the Conjurers' Monthly Magazine. It was short-lived and in large part an organ for Houdini to voice his personal opinions and grievances. Nevertheless, several historically important and interesting articles can be found in this magazine.

This house organ ran from May 1919 until February 1940. Each issue had 8 pages and was mostly filled with ads for items Hutchinson retailed. However most issues also included a trick contribution or effect (see below for the list of contents). The most interesting contribution is Graham Adams' Card Work, a series of his favorite effects, moves and in particular his take and fondness of Erdnase.

If you have attended your fair share of conventions you will probably laugh a lot. I am not sure why this is in particular targeted at the IBM. Less than well organized conventions are not limited to any organization.
