Cone-TactAldo ColombiniFrom the introduction:
Dai Vernon's “Ball, Cone and Handkerchief” is a classic of magic. I've always been fascinated with this routine and many (many!) years ago in Italy, I developed the routine that you are finding here in this manuscript.
The basic routine remains Vernon's but I have added several other moves and expanded the presentation by adding a few different effects. The main feature of the routine as I have developed it, is that it is entirely performed in the magician's hands, with no need for the table.
A special thanks goes to the late Mike Rogers because he allowed... | ★★★★★ $10 to wish listPDF |

Karl Fulves' EpilogueAldo ColombiniKarl Fulves' legendary magazine Epilogue was limited to 24 issues, from 1967 to 1975, during those years some of the finest close-up magic of the period was explained in its pages. From the magazines, with permission by Karl, Aldo has selected ten packet trick routines.
CONTENTS:
- DEVIL'S ELEVATOR (Bruce Cervon & Dai Vernon): One of the finest routine for this classic theme. One of my all-time favorites (and soon to be one of yours).
- TRANSPOSE & FOLLOW (Gerald Kosky): Two effects combined in a beautiful routine using the Aces and the Kings.
- ALA ELMSLEY (Larry Jennings): The Larry's version of the famous "Four-card trick" by Alex Elmsley.

The Complete Eye-OpenersRalph W. Hull & Paul Gordon ... the description is as follows:
"Here is magic, as I understand it. Here are card mysteries for all kinds and conditions of the conjuring clan .... For example, 'Birds of a Feather Flock Together,' a brilliant card problem in transposing cards, in the genre made famous by the artistry of Dai Vernon. Here is hocus-pocus to confound the quidnuncs! In 'Any Deck Read From the Card Backs,' Mr. Hull initiates you into one of the 'lost mysteries' - an artful method of 'reading' borrowed cards as easily as you would a prearranged deck. Marlo: Low-Down and CozyJon Racherbaumer... Master Effects, is the Rashomon Principle. Two spectators are forced to choose the same card due to a clever placement idea. 1 This great semi-automatic trick took to heart Al Baker's admonishment that "magicians stop thinking too soon."
The Twisting craze has mercifully abated, but Vernon's "Twisting the Aces" is still performed. Marlo's Upside-Down Syndrome is based on a "buried" Larry West trick and is an example of getting maximum effect using only a few cards.
