Bringing out your deck, you offer to show the audience a wonderful Ace trick, and so you remove the four Aces and hold them face down. One by one the Aces magically turn face up. Then you say, "If you think that's a good trick - I know an even better one with the four Kings." At that, the Aces in your hand change into the four Kings.

An offbeat effect, the head of a stick man that's drawn on a signed business card moves across the paper to another location. Effects where a drawing changes are always crowd pleasers. This one requires a flame from a cigarette lighter.

The principle, which was entirely new to me, is ingenious and allows you to create all kinds of variations. This is a magic square effect where spectators freely enter numbers in the main diagonal and you quickly fill out the rest of the numbers producing a perfect magic square.

Alternatively you could perform this the classic way that a spectator calls out a number and you fill in all the numbers to form a magic square. But the effect is stronger if your audience can freely choose not just the sum but several numbers in the square.
