For several years Aldo had a column in the Linking Ring magazine. At the time Phil Willmarth was the editor and he was so kind and open minded enough that he basically let Aldo make fun of everything and everyone.

The columns not only contained some good magic but Aldo was able to include some funny stuff as well. Also, between tricks and gags you will find suggestions on how to improve your presentations with regards to our art of magic.

The structure of the column was an easy one: 1) Some fun and 2) some magic and it worked. Aldo has collected in this e-book many of his favorite columns...

This could very well be Val Andrew's most important work. He describes with several great examples and historical effects, how one can entertain and amaze employing nothing but simple audacious ruses or outright bluffs. If there is a showman in you, you will love these effects and ideas. If you rather rely on your bottom deal and classic pass, then you will probably not be able to appreciate the value of this information.

Lost N Found is a very easy way to make any object (small to medium size) appear out of thin air in a one to one situation.

It uses a very easy set up, that your spectator will never be aware of. At the end of your performance your spectator will have no idea where the object came from. As a bonus it includes an impromptu handling.

If you are a stage performer: Lost N Found can also be performed on stage as a comedy routine instead of a one to one routine. The one spectator on the stage will be fooled, the rest of the audience will be entertained.

These are all effects which use wipe-off or white-board pens. Terri Rogers uses the Velleda brand, but there are others you can use. She also uses two types of Velleda films, one white and the other transparent.

[30 years after this booklet has been published we have a lot more pens available. While not wipe-off pens some of these effects can be adopted to the popular Frixion pens which can be erased by heat.]
