This is a biting parody of the UK magic magazine Budget, the organ of the British Ring of the IBM. The parody was published by Geoff Maltby of Repro Magic. It was a supplement to one of the Club 71 issues in 1989. To understand all the fun they are poking at you will have to have read some of the Budget issues.

• DOMINATING DICE (Paul Marcus): A spectator thinks of a number and the card that falls at that number is taken. Using three dice, the spectator finds the selected card.
• STUCK (Joe Riding): A close up comedy coin routine with a very entertaining climax.
• DIS-COLOR (Ravelle and Andrée): Two discs of different colors are placed inside two envelopes and they change places. Everything can be examined.

• THE FOUR ACES (Mark Weston): An Ace assembly where three cards are placed onto each Ace and the Aces disappear and reappear in one packet.

• MATCHED SPELLOUT (Ken de Courcy): A card is selected (say the Ace of Hearts) and spelled. In the process four packets are dealt and the four Aces appear. Can be done in any language. Strong routine.
• JOKERS ALL (Ravelle and Andreé): You show three jumbo sized Jokers. A spectator picks a card from a deck and one of the Jokers is selected. This changes into a duplicate of the selected card.

This is quite an unusual magic magazine. It ran from March 1992 to January 1994 with only 6 issues, but it was from the start planned that way. Each issue was formatted along the lines of another famous magazine from the past.

This magazine, consisting of 9 issues, was primarily Burling Hull's way to attack and undermine mentalist and dealer Robert Nelson of Columbus, Ohio. Burling Hull was known for his short fuse. He took issue with Robert Nelson criticizing him. Hull's revenge was to start this magazine and attack Nelson.

Hull would later sell reprints of Nelson's manuscripts, to whoever would buy them, for a fraction of what Nelson had been charging. This and other antics, got Hull booted out of the Magic Dealers Association.

The Gen magazine was published by Harry Stanley just after the war. The first issue came out in December 1945. The magazine was published for 26 years with 303 issues covering a total of 8,685 pages. Lewis Ganson, one of the greatest magical writers ever, was the editor until 1971.
