He/She is asked to then begin to deal cards into rows and at any moment deal one card forward, a specially chosen card. Then continue dealing until he/she feels compelled to stop.

When the audience member stops the chosen card is revealed (for example the 7 of Diamonds). A small envelope is handed out to the audience member, it is opened and a small hand...

Wayne Dobson has had a life full of incredible highs and hard-to-bear lows, and in this candidly written ebook, he lays it all before you. The full story is here charting his meteoric rise to international fame and TV stardom in which, when he was at the height of his powers, he became a household name in the UK and was seen as a genuine alternative to Paul Daniels as a mainstream TV magician, right through to his valiant and uncomplaining struggle with MS. Best Of British contains routines from over 20 creative British magicians, including Wayne Dobson, Peter Duffie, Geoffrey Durham, Paul Gordon, Simon Lovell, Shaun McCree, Marc Paul, Scott Penrose, Mark Shortland, Paul Stockman and many more. Aldo Colombini
Magigram: 10 effects from volume 1 by Aldo Colombini

Magigram magazine ran from 1966 to 1995. It was printed by Supreme Magic Co. and edited with superb ability by Ken de Courcy. The collaborators were the best ever, just to name a few: Ken de Courcy, Edwin, Ian Adair, Peter Warlock, Max Maven, Lewis Ganson, Maurice Fogel, Arthur Carter, George Blake, David Britland, Pavel, George Johnstone, Billy McComb and a certain Aldo Colombini (I had a column for over 20 years on card magic written by Lewis Ganson).

CONTENTS:

  • CARD LOCATION (Mark Weston): A spectator selects a card. The deck is dealt in three packets. A spectator selects a packet and on top of it, the selected card appears.

Alfonso Bartolacci
Remote Viewing Miracle by Alfonso Bartolacci
"Remote Viewing Miracle uses a very clever principle to learn a thought of city in a very disarming way. Nothing is written down, yet the mentalist gets the thought from across the stage! Highly recommended." - Richard Osterlind
The performer invites on stage five people. Four of them sit in front of the audience while the fifth is given a list of names of ten different cities. The performer asks the spectator to mentally select one of the cities and to communicate his choice to the four seated. When everybody knows the chosen city, the mentalist distributes to each spectator an envelope...

Alfonso Bartolacci
Boxed Clairvoyance by Alfonso Bartolacci
"Alfonso Bartolacci's Boxed Clairvoyance is a great principle. I tried it with a number of different style boxes and it works as explained. You will have to practice a bit to get it all natural, but once you have it down, it looks great! You need to have this tool in your arsenal." - Richard Osterlind
This is a Gellerish experiment, which should not be part of a regular program, but could be an extraordinary event during a show or, better, an impromptu performance.

A cardboard shoe-box (only the box, no shoes needed) and a deck of cards are borrowed. Everything can be examined and the...

Paolo Maria Jacobazzi
360 Degree by Paolo Maria Jacobazzi

You are probably familiar with the "Head Twister" act. This can be presented to the audience in a serious or comic way, however, it has always been done with obsolete objects such as boxes with knobs, boxes with oriental designs, sequins, and so on. Paolo thought to use a modern object: a motor-cycle helmet! It is a common object of everyday use!

The conjuror or his assistant sits and puts on the helmet and from this moment the magic begins. The helmet and person's head, which is visible, is rotated 360° various times. At the end of this demonstration the assistant stands, the conjuror blocks...

Aldo Colombini

Michael Murray & Stephen Shaw
Once Removed by Michael Murray & Stephen Shaw

Once Removed is a hands-off approach to the think-a-card plot.

You will be taught a method for revealing a mere thought of card in an extremely fair manner. There are no peeks or forces, and the deck can be given away after the performance if you so wish. Unlike most handling's, the spectator can truly think of any card, and can do this before the deck is even introduced. The clever principle at play allows you to easily discern the thought of card with very minimal memory work (no more difficult than, say, an "invisible deck"), allowing you to focus fully on presentation. The nature of the...
