David Devlin
Brain Scam by David Devlin

Move over, "Three Card Monte"! There is a new BAD ASS kid in town. His name is, "Brain Scam", and He takes no prisoners!

David Devlin has created a fool-proof scam that seems so fair and so honest; suckers cannot wait to plunk down their cash and play the game. The odds of the suckers winning the game seem so much in their favor, and so against the performer that it looks like super easy money for them. The reality, however, is that the suckers cannot win. Not ever. No matter what. It will not happen!

Here is the hustle:

Three cards are given to a spectator. They are a Jack of Clubs,...

Tom Craven & Paul Gordon
The Keeper Card Book by Tom Craven & Paul Gordon

This ebook is all about John Quine's startlingly good "keeper" concept. The Keeper is a Straddle Faro that shuffles the entire deck but retains the second from top card in situ. But, that's just the tip of the iceberg...

This ebook is a reprint of the "keeper" material from both The Card Magic of John Quine (which was mostly Tom's material) and BS timations. The rest of the ebook is made up of "keeper" material from Precursor, The Minotaur and a whole bunch of exciting new stuff! If you can do a Straddle Faro Shuffle, you can do The Keeper. To be frank, as Harry Lorayne pointed out, Mr. Quine's original handling...

David Devlin
Brainstorm by David Devlin

"Very nice. Sweet effect, well done!" - Martin Lewis

David Devlin has done it again! This time with a new piece of mentalism that has fried both lay audiences and magicians alike. This is a stunning display of not only your psychic abilities, but also those of the spectator. It is so fair and so "hands-off" that there just does not seem anyway possible for this to work, but it does, and it is 99.5% self working, and it is under your control. David has combined two principles to create this incredible mystery, one of which is grossly under explored.

Bonus: This eBook also features a fantastic...

Have you ever wanted to take a deck of cards, and make your spectators truly believe that you are perhaps the greatest card sharp ever? David Devlin loves gambling routines, especially Poker deals. Here is the effect: A deck is shuffled, and placed in front of a spectator who is told to cut it about in half. This is done, and it is explained that a four-hand Poker game is going to be dealt. The spectator is asked to name any hand of Poker....

David Devlin
Hammer Smashed Aces by David Devlin

This effect has nothing to do with hammers or smashing things. It does have to do with the aces, however. The title came about because David was listening to Cannibal Corpse while He was playing around with this routine, and the song that was on was, "Hammer Smashed Face". That is enough about the weird title.

Here is the effect (and what an effect!):

The four aces (or four selections) are signed and placed aside. A fifth unknown card is selected and placed face down between two jokers, which are then placed into the card box. The aces are then shown once again, and are then cleanly shuffled...

These effects aren't just magical. They are entertaining! And isn't that what we get paid for?

Every effect in this ebook has been set on rules! They must be entertaining, have not too many sleights (but NOT self working) and can be performed in the hands. All too often there isn't space on the table to perform or sometimes no table. As American magician Paul Lelekis states in the Forward.

"The number of tricks out there that can be performed completely in the hands can "fit on the head of...

My Best Card Trick by Harry Baron

From the editor's note and foreword:

The ideas emanate from the brains of those who are among the top flight of card men to-day, and I earnestly commend them for your serious study, because apart from being original - and never before published - they are all absolutely practical and every one of them has been audience-tested.

Arthur Holland and I have been through this book page by page, with cards in our hands, and are convinced that there are no sleights which cannot with due diligence be mastered. And the mastering is well worthwhile for the contributors have given what they were asked...
